I love getting snail-mail. Even when I was a kid I was the one who always wrote letters and sent cards.

I've been doing Postcrossing for about 3 years (my UID on PC is ShinyPennies as well).

I have an Etsy shop and liked doing crafts for that - lately I have been just wanting to make things for fun - not to sell. (Also Shiny Pennies on Etsy.)

I am new to this - but promise I am not a flaker. :D

I love lots of crafts. I knit & crochet, I love making gifts for friends. I did cross-stitch when I was younger – but don’t really have the patience nowadays. I do a lot of paper crafts – making cards, etc.

I really enjoy drawing and painting, but I am not the greatest. I like to paint - mostly watercolor washes. I've been using my paintings for the backgrounds of my ATCs. Again - just getting started. :)

I’ve recently gotten into Zentangles. Mine look a little childish to me - but hopefully they will get better with practice.

I love to read - but don't get to nearly as much as I would like. I love Ken Follet, Nelson Demille, and lately Phillipa Gregory books.

There aren't really a lot of things I dislike. I am not a big fan of creepy crawlies, snakes, etc. I like steampunk - but not anything really gruesome, i.e. no zombies. :)

I love animals - that is my dog Huey in my profile picture.

I like otters, foxes, pandas, ducks, elephants, rabbits and pikas; I like flowers and pretty nature scenes.

My favorite color is pink.
