About Me

I am an artist by profession and my medium is oil on canvas. I live in one of the meny small villages that dot western Quebec. This gives me endless places to paint. Myself and meny of my artist friends chose this area to live because of it's beauty and affordability. I joined a local ATC group over a year ago and now have become addicted to making and trading ATC's. It has opened a word of new mediums that I can play with. Things I like

Zentangle and mix media ATCs.Painting in my studio, long walks with my dog Rusty, collecting cook books, bread making and baking, music, old mystery books like Miss Marple and making ATC's to trade. I like bright colors and the fun of making zentangles.Looking for new patterns in the things around me is a good exercise.

Favourite Television shows: Most PBS programs, Midsummer Murders, House, NCIS, Castle, The Royal

Favourite Books: I like English mysteries, Agatha Christie and Sir Francis Doyle. Also the books by James Herriot.

Favourite Music I love many kinds from seventies and eighties vinyl, pop, to most of Puccini's operas.

Things I dislike

The color pink, Girlish ATC's, stickers, Junk food Things you get in the mail that smell of smoke. People that can not see the beauty in most things

Comment: Stephan, I loved the atc. I saw something similar done for our US Memorial Day and wanted to remember to make some July 4th cards using vintage photos of servicemen. Thanks also for the extras. Can you tell me if the extra atc is embossed or is the raised area done some other way? Kathy
