About Me

Hello 👋🏾,

December 15, 2022: So I’m still stitching and gaming. I even started streaming on Twitch, which has been quite the ride, I’m having a lot of fun check it out here and interacting in my Discord . Anyway, today I’ve gotten a new obsession, I tried diamond painting on stream last night and I’ve gotten the hang of it and finished one of my coasters! I’m completely in love. I’ll be loading up the wishlist with supplies and interesting pieces. I’m still swapping here and there (I can’t wait for the Christmas swap to commence. I’m interested to see what else I can make my swap mate and still mail off in time.). Anyway, does anyone play PlateUp!? I’m pretty into to it as well and I love being able to use the remote play feature to play with my friends who don’t have the game. Feel free to DM me to swap friend codes. 🥰 Happy Swapping!

May 30, 2021 Update: I got a Singer SK280 knitting machine!!!! I have no idea what I'm doing and I can only use light weight yarn. Which is super unfortunate as I usually buy 4 weight. Sigh, at any rate, I can hardly wait to start sending some really cool knitted items when I get the hang of it. :D

March 23, 2021 Update:

I have become a gaming, yarn horde-ing, knitting, crocheting (reg and Tunisian), try making anything I have a pattern for, swapper drowning in WIPs. :D I'm drinking more coffee than tea these days, which helps with my super late nights (the boys make it hard to get any projects done during the day lolz). I'm slowly responding to my penpals, long letters are no longer as fun as stitching. I love snail mail tho so I may eventually just swap here and maybe keep one or two pals. At any rate, I have tons of penpal supplies I would love to trade for yarn lolz. Hit me up for personal swaps.

I still love reading but I'm solely audiobooking it these days. Gotta multitask! I'm currently seeing what all the fuss is about for the Outlander series. Wow, only on the second book but I'm hooked :P

Original but edited: I’m a 34yo stay at home mom since 2016. I have a busy toddler, Zavid Alexander and a womb raider, Zayden Elijah, who was born late April 2019.

I’m super excited that having a penpal is still a thing! 😂 I've started writing folks and I'm getting to know new and interesting people. However, I also want to get more into swaps and postcrossing.

I’m pretty laid back and have had friends of all walks of life back in the day. I’ve lost touch with my high school and college buddies though.

Anyway, here’s a list about me:

-I love listening to YA, historical inspirational fiction, and Sci-Fi novels.

-I enjoy gaming (preferably the more casual stuff like Sims, match three, jigsaw puzzles, time management-notably the Delicious Emily series, Stardew Valley, and Minecraft). I was also hooked on Farm Together.

-Hulu and Netflix are my jam! I also watch Amazon Prime, HBO, Starz, The CW, and CBS apps. I love binged sci-fi, comedy, and family friendly shows. Some shows I've watched multiple times are Friends, Frazier, Merlin, Robin Hood, The Secret Circle (so sad it was only one season), When Comes the Heart, Good Witch, Family Matters (aka Steve Urkel show), Step by Step, 7th Heaven, Whose Line is it Anyway, and several Netflix originals and Stand ups (Noah Trevor and Kevin Hart are my favorites). I even went through Hercules on dvd twice, I didn't realize Xena was a spinoff from that show, I just thought they were supposed to be during the same time frame. They grew her character quite well, I didn't like her at first. I also rewatched The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (quality program ❤️❤️❤️❤️). I’m currently going through Firefly for the third time. Lolz

-I am still making friendship bracelets... but I’ve been working on the same one for months now. SMH I know, I’ve transitioned to making book marks instead, then much bigger items. ——I love to crochet some of everything (coasters, doilies, blankets, etc) I love Creative Grandma, Jayda In Stitches, The Crochet Crowd, and Fiber Spider on YouTube I’even learned Tunisian Crochet 🧶 12-3-20- I’ve gotten pretty good at crochet, knitting, and Tunisian crochet. I’ve made tons of cloths, scarves, afghans and blankets. I even made my first graphgan! It was a Storm Trooper (my husband is a huge Star Wars fan). That Storm Trooper graphgan turned out AWESOME! If I do say so myself Weaving in the ends was the biggest pain. At any rate, I'm thinking of making another but learning to sew... hmmm or maybe just getting someone to sew fabric on the back to cover all the ends.

-I used to have adult coloring books everywhere. I’m not at all artistic but I used to love to pretend 😂 I haven’t colored in quite awhile but I still have a stack of em. I’d rather be playing with yarn.

-I obtained a die cutter and I was really into trying to learn paper crafting techniques. Update: Meh, I pull it out once in a blue moon to make envies and embellishments when the mood hits but it’s a rare occurrence.

-I love unicorns, mermaids, Hello Kitty, Disney, Marvel, pink, purples, and all things girlie Update: Yeah, some things just don't change.😂

-I love yarn of all types, weights, and sizes. My husband is convinced that I have a problem. Lolz 😂 Update: I definitely have a problem. Yarn is my precious and I can never have enough lolz.

-Also, I loved tea. Especially, Chai and English Breakfast, but now I’m more into warm water with True Lemon, True Lime, or True Orange type additives. Mango or Wildberry are my favs. Also, I love coffee! I love trying different types of K-cups. I’ve even branched off to trying instant coffee.

-Love Comes Softly series by Janette Oke

-Harry Potter series by J K Rowling

-Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer

-Any Love Inspired Historical books

Favorite Movies

So my xBox is old and it’s disc player is broken. So I can only stream movies at the moment but here are my honorable mentions.

-Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (It’s soooo colorful, lively, and fun! I loved Brandy, Whoopi, Whitney, Jason Alexander, and Bernadette Peters!)

-Harry Potter series (OMG, they did such a good job on those)

-Anything Marvel! Well, Captain Marvel was just okay 😂 and I’m not really a DC fan but Aquaman was on point!!! Also, Henry Cavill has replaced Dean Cain as my favorite Superman! Oh and Gal Gadot is killing it as Wonder Woman. Well, shoot I guess I am a DC fan after all 🤣

-Hachi (I still can’t watch it and not cry)

-Polly and Polly Comin’ Home (I love Phylicia Rashad and Keshia Knight was an awesome child actor)

-Rush Hour series

-Madea plays and movies

Favorite Swaps

I love the Itty Bitty Stitchery swaps on WIYM. I love receiving everyone's lovely works! I also love the excuse to try making new things. 😂 I like to be surprised but if you're at a loss for what to send I can always use more earrings, necklaces, bracelets, tops (large), hooded cowls, or hats. I made a pouch for my current swap partner at the time of this update. :D

If I’m in a swap where different types of things are required (Happiness in a Box), rest assured if you just send me yarn, I’ll be a happy camper! Lolz just not all the weird specialty yarns. Some regular acrylic, cotton, bamboo, or wool will suffice. I love all shades of pinks, blues, purples, tans, and browns.

I also may send thank yous via snail mail in addition to the 5❤️ for above par swappers. 😁 I’ve had some straight into the trash swaps so I like to reward some folks that go above and beyond. You make the duds worthwhile. At any rate, don’t feel obligated to reply. You can if you like but it’s not expected. 😊

If there are ever any issues with my swaps feel free to reach out. I weigh all my envies and generally use correct postage but everyone makes mistakes here and there. I have no problem keeping happy mail happy 😉

###### WISHLIST ######

*Any acrylic, cotton, or bamboo Yarn and/or crochet thread, or floss

*Crochet or Knitting Patterns or books

*Metal or Plastic knitting needles or crochet or Tunisian crochet hooks

Yarny swaps

Yarn hoarding is my favorite hobby. I can never have too much and I keep finding places to put it all 😂 I prefer Acrylic for most things because it’s soo easy to clean but I do dabble in wool. Also, I love cotton for clothes and cleaning projects and chenille for soft blankets and dusters.

I need weight 3 or finer yarns at the moment as I’ve recently acquired an SK280.

I knit, crochet, Tunisian crochet, and macrame and wouldn’t mind participating in personal swaps.

I can never have too many bags or wearables (L). I love swiffer covers and dusters.

Comment: Thank you. I enjoyed your note and I like this quote. The envelope was torn so I'm hoping the pretty little tag and tiny bird were what you tucked inside. Very nice swap. Just awhile ago, I noticed that the bird is a bookmark. So tiny and sweet...love it!
Response: You’re very welcome, I’m glad you liked the quote. The tiny bird is actually a bookmark 😁 I love those for marking patterns I want to try in my books.

Comment: Thanks so much for the card and other goodies! The card message is perfect for me. I have a basket full of items that need altering and mending and have had problems getting started on them because I think it will take too much time. My sewing machine is sitting out on my dining room table and I'm putting this card up in front of it to remind me to "just take it one stitch at a time".
Response: Ohhhh I LOVE that!!!!🥰

Comment: I loved the way you decorated my envelope. That doggie is sooo cute. Thank you for the pretty note card. I am blessed to have an older friend who does jigsaw puzzles with me. I used to do them with my mother before she died. In.ived in Jacksonville for a few years when I first got married. We enjoyed living there and loved Lou’s barbecue on Beach Boulevard. My grandparents had a place in Fernandina beach back then. I use buttons on my ATC or tags to ,Make flowers or wheels Also with beads to make dangles. I don’t glue my finished puzzles. My cousin does and he makes frames for them. I keep mine. Then redo them years later if they belonged to Mom. If they dont I may swap them with a friend. Doing them relaxes me.
Response: I would probably never glue my Mom's old puzzles either. I'm glad you enjoyed the swap! Oh, that's such a smart use of buttons. I've tried doing ATCs I feel mine are very amatuerish lolz.

Response: I've never seen the original 1960 version but I have seen clips of it. I love all the colors and the songs.
