About Me

I am a wife to an amazing man, and a mommy of two wild little boys: a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old. Snail Mail has always been a hobby of mine, that I hope to share with my family. We live in Small-Town-Kentucky.

We love cooking/baking together and trying new foods and wines. We also like to hike, play disc golf, and spend time outside.

Our family will love anything you send us! We're very excited to connect with you!

Favorite Crafts

Unfortunately, I have not had very much time for crafting lately. With two little-ones in the house, it's difficult to do very many extra activities that don't involve them.

For now, please don't send craft supply gifts. I have so many wonderful art supplies that are in storage waiting for a mommy-day. I'd hate for more nice pieces to be sitting in limbo when another crafter could be using them.

Thank you for understanding! :)

With that request, I know it can be hard to come up with ideas. Here are a few ideas for the gift swaps: Notecards and greeting cards with envelopes, tea bags, magnets, spiral journals and notebooks, felt tip pens, postage stamps, seed packets, face clays, little-boy-friendly stickers, instant pot recipes. Anything with floral patterns or pastel colors.

Emily Watches....

TV: Outlander, Downton Abbey, 1883, Mad Men, Firefly, The Office, Bluey, Good Eats, Pokémon, Joyce Meyer Ministries, Virgin River, Poldark, Alone, Victoria, Big Bang Theory, The Chosen, Call the Midwife

Film: Everything by Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, Chronicles of Narnia, Memoirs of a Geisha, Monty Python, The Princess Bride

Swapping Philosophy

All of the other users that I've swapped with have been awesome! This is a really special form of social media for a unique group of people. Right from the beginning, we all have so much in common! But, I have to admit, I am a little disappointed to see so many people with a long list of items that they don't want you to send them.

I will never say that I dislike what you send me. Opening my mailbox to anything that is not a bill is so thrilling to me; and it is so much more special when it comes from a person who has taken their time to dedicate it to me. I WANT you to send me a piece of YOUR heart, or a piece of YOUR mind, because that is the precious connection that we have the opportunity to share with each other. I don't care if your stickers aren't my favorite color, or if your postcard was free from the corner shop down the street....

Anything you send me will be loved. And, I am grateful. If I forget to leave you a Thank You note, please know that you brightened my day!

Comment: Well this took the long way around! It just arrived yesterday. Thank you so much for the card and lemonade. Honestly even though it's nearing Halloween we may still have a few days left to drink it outside. Ulsan has warm falls and mild winters.

Comment: If God existed and saw me as you suggest then I wouldn't have been abused, starting at 12 by a church attending Christian. So this wasn't a pleasant swap experience for me, having that memory triggered. I realize you are trying to be nice but you do damage by sending unsolicited religious content to people who very clearly ask you not to on their profiles. You can be nice without bringing religion into it.
Response: I'm sorry that this piece of mail was not a good experience for you. I did not intend for this outcome. This is just my way of showing love. And, I'm sorry for the abuse that you had to experience. I don't have an answer for the Great question, "If God is real, why does He let people suffer?" I survived a season of abuse too. It went on for years and years, and there were times I truly wondered if it would ever end, or if it would just end with my death.... My abuser was a "Christian" too. All i know is that God got me through that time alive (i know it was Him, bc I did not have the mental/emotional/physical strength i needed to endure it.) And more, than that, i believe i am STRONGER now because of it. I have been able to help other people get through similar situations, and i had the grace to forgive my abuser. God even used me to HELP the person who abused me (bc ABUSED people hurt other people). I'm not at all trying to minimize what you went through, but i KNOW that you have the potential to take that experience and turn it to strength. God IS there. He DOES love you. You are so precious to Him. And, He is ready to help you take season of abuse and turn it around in the Enemy's face, if you're ready to ask Him. Also, if it provides any sense of comfort, your abuser WILL NOT get away with it. God said "Vengeance is mine." He DOES NOT tolerate abuse to the people He favors. That person will get theirs. And, it will be worse and anything a human can do to them..... He is on your side. I pray for people bc He tells me to. Bc i believe it creates change in people's lives. And we all need that in some way or another.
