Hi, I'm Nicole! :)

I love letters, stationary, tea, and anything cute, positive, or uplifting. I like to spend my free time doing decorative journaling in my Hobonichi, watching and attending figure skating competitions (Yuzuru Hanyu is my favorite skater, I'm obsessed lol) or studying Japanese.

I love trying new crafts and just recently took a pottery wheel class - super fun! I also love meeting new people from all over the world. Some of my best friends are in Japan, France, Hong Kong and Brazil.

I live in North Carolina with my husband and our pets - Two Shih Tzus and a Ragdoll cat.

I'd like to get into stationary, tea, and other types of swaps but am also open to anything else.

I love love love anything involving stationary! I currently have a Hobonichi that I use for decorative journaling/kawaii scrapbooking. I also like to send decorative letters covered in washi tape and cute stickers to my friends.

I also enjoy knitting although I haven't made much lately.

I just now used a pottery wheel for the first time and did pretty well, so I'm hoping to make that a craft I do regularly as well.

These days I'm currently obsessed with:

• Figure Skating and two time olympic gold medalist Yuzuru Hanyu
• The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi
• Yuri On Ice
• Tea - I drink SO much and love trying new types
• Stationary
• Washi Tape and Stickers
• Hello Kitty, Winnie the Pooh, Hatsune Miku
• Japanese culture - I'm currently taking Japanese lessons online
• Travel - I've got to leave the country at least 3 times a year or I just get restless!

I also love:

• anime
• romantic or Victorian style anything
• cats and dogs and otters
• Starbucks - drinks, tumblers/mugs, artwork
• Chill study music/lo-fi study music
• yarn - any kind
• tea cups, tea pots, etc. I collect them

I love historical or romantic movies. Some of my favorites are:

• Amelie
• The Young Victoria
• Pride and Prejudice (both versions)
• Downton Abbey

I also love Disney and Pixar movies, or any light-hearted cartoon that makes me smile

I like all kinds of music, but right now I'm listening most to soundtracks, like La La Land, Amelie, The Greatest Showman, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies etc.

I also love music from any Studio Ghibli movie, and anything that Yuzuru Hanyu has skated to. My favorite being Haru Yo Koi. I'm obsessed with it (the piano arrangement he skates to) lol.

I love trying food from any culture around the world. My motto is: If you eat it, I'll at least try it. (well there's a few exceptions... balut for example lol)

I love to get sweets or snacks from around the world. I also love tea and coffee, but especially tea. I have a huge selection of loose leaf tea and drink about 4 cups a day.

I have no food allergies so anything goes!

I don't get to read as much as I used to, but there are a few books I'll read again every other year or so. I honestly spend most of my reading time on AO3 currently but these are my favorite books:

• The Alchemist
• The Phantom of the Opera
• Poems by Fernando Pessoa
• The Ordinary Princess - my fav since childhood
• For Women Only
• Jayne Eyre
• The Little House book series

To be honest I'm just happy to get anything that someone takes the time to send, but since I've seen this on other profiles I thought I'd make a list of the kinds of things I'd like to receive the most:

• Anything related to Yuzuru Hanyu (hard to find outside of Japan though)
• Anything figure skating related
• Anything Japanese or Kawaii style or sakura themed
• Anything Studio Ghibli movies related
• Stickers - decorative ones that are flat so I can put them on my journal pages
• Washi tape
• Ephemera, canceled stamps, magazine photos (small), quotes, flat small paper goodies that I can glue onto my journal pages
• Pens, pencils, highlighers, markers, colored pencils
• Cute post-its, planner stickers, shaped paper clips
• Stationary notecards or papers or letter sets
• Post cards - blank or written on, either is fine
• Asian stationary items like erasers, mini scissors, or other useful items
• Tea of any type or flavor
• Knit or crochet items of any size
• Anything Kawaii
• Candy or snacks from around the world
• Anything handmade or personalized - I REALLY appreciate the time it takes to make something by hand!
