Hi, my name is Nancy. I am married, the mother of six, grandmother of six and great-grandmother of two. I also have two adorable, but over-sized and very spoiled Australian Shepherd/ Lab mix dogs.

I have eclectic tastes in music. I enjoy Jazz, blues, country, oldies (50s, 60s and 70s), classical and Broadway show tunes.

I love to read. Especially, mysteries and thrillers, classics, art technique and cookbooks, along with the latest contemporary novels. Recently I have read "The Kite Runner," "Water for Elephants," "Sarah's Key," and "The Book Thief."

I don't go to movies too often as they have become so expensive. Instead I rent or buy dvds. I like classic movies with Humphrey Bogart (Casablanca and African Queen.) Other favorites are Sunset Boulevard, Lawrence of Arabia, Titanic, Fried Green Tomatoes and French Kiss. I enjoy action and thrillers movies and have seen most of the recent releases.

I'm a big fan of reality shows such as American Idol, Survivor and The Amazing Race. The Cooking Channel, Discovery and National Geographic are among my favorite channels. I enjoy the CSI shows as well as Law and Order.

I'm not really into crafts, except knitting. My interests are painting, watercolor and oils, as well as drawing and making zentangles.

I love to cook, especially I like to bake cookies, cakes and breads.

Other hobbies are collecting cactus plants; travelling; collecting postcards of all kinds (love vintage, map cards, flowers, regional recipes.)

I like to spend time with my husband and family. I love animals, especially dogs. Anything with flowers or cactus. My favorite colors are any shade of purple or violet, yellows, greens. I don't like grays or pale pastels.

CANDY... Since I live in Arizona, chocolates or other melty candies do not arrive well. I like licorice, gummy candies, jelly bellies, cinnamon candies. I also like caramels. Because of Arizona's hot weather put anything that is in doubt in a seperate baggie.
