About Me

NOTE : I'll be moving out on September the 3rd and have family issues to deal with, so I'll probably be offline most of the following three months. See ya in mid-autumn !

If you're expecting something from me that you still haven't recieved, PLEASE contact me, I'll be glad to re-send if the mail has got lost, which unfortunately happens. As you know, communication is the key.

I may be late on swaps and answering letters sometimes, but I always send out. I love this place. There are so many great people around here. Some of you have been an everyday support when I was in trouble, so thanks again !

If I'm late rating you please contact me. I have a small letterbox and must go to the PO to grab packages and can't go there more often than once every ten days, so that may explain additionnal delay.

I'm 28 years old and I live in Paris. I love to write poetry, read, act and direct drama, draw, hike, picnic with friends. I'm fond of nature and the moutain especially. My family owns an old house close to the Spanish border and I have a great time helping them out renovating it during holidays.

I'm interested in everything that has to do with our planet, environment issues, sustainable development, downsizing, recylcing, organic culture, re-discovering ancient plants, traditions, fair trade, etc.

I love art in general, visiting museums and exhibitions. I'm quite a traveller (mainly in Europe & Asia by now) and love to discover new cities and landcapes.

My parents collect antiques so I've been raised to wander about flee markets and wear vintage clothes. I like ancient things, places with history, tradition and folklore, but I also love contemporary art, pop culture, low-brow, geekery...

I especially like things colorful, personal, natural, unusual, astonishing, mysterious. I really enjoy the international dimension of swapping. For now swap-bot has allowed me to discover many things from abroad, which is very excinting !

I'm always in need of things that can be helpful with chores.

Wishlist

I'm dowsizing so focusing on :

  • edibles (local food from your place, snacks, healthy stuff, instant or flavored coffee, interesting teas... anything that can travel !)

  • scented or organic shampoo

  • something to help me learn how to play the harmonica

  • stuff for my boyfriend : fun t-shirts size XL or XXL, bracelets, rings, cool badges, rings, fun trinkets, surprises related to electronic or rock music, stuff related to science & geekery, Californian stuff

  • magick stuff

  • stuff related to hindu gods, vendanta, ayurveda, India culture & mythology

  • seeds, gardening stuff

  • tea candles

  • essential oil (especially those that are a respiratory help, such as eucalyptus globulus or pine tree... but all are useful), scented oil

  • peat pellets

  • decoration / design / renovation magazines

  • fengshui stuff

  • anything to help me with house plants

  • cupcake moulds and topping

  • natural healing stuff

  • boxes or trays or any item to decorate with cutouts and mod-podge

  • anything from my etsy favorites or inspired by them

  • anything from my amazon wishlist

  • a measuring glass w/ cups and ounces

  • things you find useful for meditation or spiritual practice (no christian books please)

  • wool

  • handknitted bonnet or cowl

  • armwarmers

  • cool music

  • nice envies large enough to send postcards in them (no lettersets please, I only need the envies)

  • leggings or tights (big size needed, I'm slim but I have long legs and feet), any style

  • strong dishwashing gloves

  • fashion items, especially vintage

  • LPs or 45 rpm records

  • headbands / fascinators

  • cool brooches

  • perfume samples

  • earrings (especially hypoallergenic) or stuff to craft my own

  • nailpolish (especially red one, but any color would be cool)

  • anything useful for someone who'll be moving out soon with a lot of home improvement to do beforehand !!

What I can send you

I'm open to private swaps so please contact me if interested. I love profile surprises swap and am pretty sure I can come up with stuff that will match your likes.

Things I have in unlimited stash : - French ephemera - printed material in french - photo ATCs made by me - decorated matchboxes made by me - ribbons - necklaces made by me - random images for paper crafting

Favorite Music

I listen to all kinds of music from medieval to contemporary, from Russian to Venezuelian, from yiddish folk to punk-rock, from jazz to rap... Some of my current favorites are : Caitlin Rose, Midlake, Efterklang, Piano Magic, Joan Jett, The Yardbirds, Roxy Music, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Frank Zappa, The Sparks, The Ramones, Jefferson Airplaine, XTC, Bird eats baby, The Dresden Dolls.

Favorite Movies

Hollywood classics such as Howard Hawks, John Ford, Lubitsch, Cukor, and so on. I also love Nouvelle Vague and Japanese classics, Dreyer, Rosselini, Bresson...

Among more recent movies, my 2 favorites are Children of Men and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind.

I like to watch TV-series on DVD or DivX.

My dislikes

I like about eveything on earth but the taste of Coca-cola.

I'm not a girly girl so I don't have any taste for "Barbie" pink style, puppies, kittens, dolphins, Valentine day stuff etc.

I don't celebrate Halloween so if you send me Halloween stuff I will send it to another swap partner. Same with Thanksgiving stuff, for obvious reasons. Unless it can have a cultural interest - For instance I wouldn't use thanksgiving stickers, but I can find a celebration leaflet interesting and funny.

I belong to those people who don't like clowns.

I'm not much keen on very sugary and artificial scents, like strong vanilla, popping candy, fake strawberry or chocolate (though I love the taste of the real thing). I prefer fresh and natural scents like fig-tree, green tomato, sandal wood... or flowery scents like patchouli, ylang-ylang, lotus or rose. I also love to discover new scents.

My drawers are already full of : paper scraps and images (I like to reuse and have proven incapable of throwing away a beautiful paper scrap or image), soap, moisturizing body lotion, used stamps.
