I am a stay at home mother of 2. My husband and I met in college. I have a great job that I can do from home to help keep us afloat. I am an Oregon girl who got stuck in Texas. I miss my green mountains and my blue sea, and most of all the RAIN! I hope one day to convince my husband that OR is the place to be!

My husband is currently studying for the BAR exam. He loves, loves, LOVES the Dallas Cowboys, and has since he was a tiny tot (kinda why we now live in TX! Neither of us are from here originally). He also loves to fish any time he gets the chance. And whenever we can sneak time we like to play on our wii together. Some of his favorite things include sweets (the man will eat most kinds of candy, his fave is chocolate with caramel and Heath bars), reading law novels (ie. John Grishamy type books), and football.

My daughter is almost 5. Right now she is very in to Tinkerbell, Princesses (of course), felt food made by me and anything girly. Her favorite colors are pink, purple, sky blue and "tinkerbell" green. She loves to read and draw and color with "big girl" pens on mommy's note pads. She is a girly girl through and through.

My son is almost 3 and his few loves are balls (specifically footballs, don't know where he got that...lol), Cars, Thomas Take along trains and reading (or looking at books). He is a B-O-Y and it balances out my Princess above!

Ahhh books! I LOVE BOOKS!!! My all time favorite authors are Sharon Creech (fav. by her is Bloomability) and Jane Austin (fav. by her is Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion). Of course I like to indulge in frivoulous chick lit when life gets hectic. I will read almost anything! As long as it is good. I love historic novels, because then I feel like I am learning and indulging myself at the same time! I always have at least 3 books I am reading at one time.

Movies, movies, ahh the days when I used to be able to see a movie in the theater! I do love movies though. My hubby and I steer away from rated R movies, but we have found plenty non R movies that we we enjoy. Some of my all time favorites are: Pride and Prejudice (the new one), 007 Casino Royale, Dance with Me, French Kiss, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.

hehe T.V., my achilles heel! I got hooked on TV when my husband was taking night classes and I would wait up for him. I normally dont have time to watch in the day so of course I love all the prime time "junk"! Things on my DVR: Heroes, Greys Anatomy, LOST, How I Met your Mother, Top Model, Project Runway, Ugly Betty, Private Practice, Biggest Loser. I also LOVE Gilmore girls sniff but it is done.

I love crafting! My favorite right now is making felt food. I am so sick of plastic toys in my house! I also love quilting (I am a kind of a beginner) and I also like to crossstitch, papercraft (scrapbooks and cards), and other crafty type things. Mostly anything! I am just no good at painting pictures. I am trying to get back into sewing so I am loving pretty, colorful fabrics in all shades and patterns right now (and coordinating thread/buttons/ribbons/zippers are always appreciated!). I really love all the wonderful Japanese fabric I have seen on flickr and Etsy. I am excited to start crafting again and that is why I wanted to start swapping! To give me an excuse to create and share. I really love beachy things, like tones of auqa and greens and blues (not so much generic beach like flip flops and flower prints, but more seashells and tumbled glass) Reminds me of the ocean I love so much!

Well, I wanted to put down some more of my favorite things just to be thorough! Here are a few things that light my fire:

• Chocolate- I adore most all chocolate especially dark, but my fave candy is ferrero rocher, so I LOVE chocolate and hazelnut, my favorite candy bars are snickers and butterfinger crisp, but I am always open to trying new things!
• the great outdoors
• Colors (my favorite is shades of blue and green, but I also like purples, pinks, and I love dark brown paired with blues and pinks and aquas)
• ETSY
• baking
• rainy afternoons with a good book
• shopping
• Target
• crayola products
• Dallas Cowboys football
• Snowmen, owls (birds with built in glasses, what is better than that?)
• food smelling candles
• my children
• pretty things (butterlies, fairies, flowers)
• soft things
• anything with polka dots
• pretty and cute fabrics (especially any hard to find ones like Japanese fabrics)
• kawaii things with smiley faces that don't normally have faces-especially food

• most ALL kawaii that I have found

  the list goes on...

So basically I like most everything and I am open to new things all the time!

• I am allergic to cats (but I still love them!)
• I am scared of dogs. Puppies are cute and dogs are great in theory, but up close-yikes!
• If I could live anywhere it would be on the ocean front.
• I love to buy cookbooks with the hopes of using them, though I rarely do other than for baking recipes.
• I am a neat freak, I may not have the most spotless house, but it is neat and tidy as often as I can get it that way
• I hate germs! We use hand sanitizer in the car after trips to the store and when we come home from public places (like hospitals or zoos) I make the whole family change clothes.
• I love being a mother, I wouldn't have it any other way, and as soon as we are able to afford it, I will be a full time stay at home mom, with no job!
• I am a pretty easy going person and I am intereted in most things, I dont like really dark or scary things, I am generally a bright and cheerful person!

~Oh yeah--judging is for losers!

• I detest peas! They taste like dirt!
• Coffee and tea
• Scary movies
• black licorice
• spongebob
• fake hippy stuff(smiley faces, neon peace signs, etc.)
• cinnamon candy
• grease
• overly flowerey scents (rose, lavender, etc.)
• gold things (I prefer silver)
• Vintage stuff-unless it is terrific fabric (not that I dislike it, I just have no need for it)
• Uneccesary clutter
• Earrings (my ears aren't pierced!)
• random stickers (unless kawaii flakes of course!)
• Scrap booking stuff, just have too much and I am not really using it right now

Yay! I am finally taking the plunge and entering into some REAL kawaii swaps! I thought I should make a little list of some of my favorites. Also check out my wish list for things I really want right now!

FAVORITE CHARACTERS and stuff so far:

• Favorite of all characters is all Hanari Tofu especially plum

• All Sanrio-especially kuromi, pandapple, pankunchi, fairy hello kitty, tenorikuma, and cinnamaroll

• Mamegoma

• Monokuro Boo especially with the teal accents

• Crux cute sweets, and dot of lovely riboon

• Cartoon animals like the happy memorial sky bear, the dreamy friends, etc.

• FOOD, FOOD, FOOD with faces, real and cartoon

• clover stuff

So these things are just those I have come across that I like. I don't want any partner I have to feel like it has to be on that list! I guess I mostly like it all, as long as it is cute! I don't have very much, so anything is a real treat and a great surprise. I do like the different full memos and sticker sacks and of course PLUSHIES!.

My most favorite of all things have to be the food with faces. Especially breakfast foods (waffles, pancakes, doughnuts, fruit, etc.) any thing like this is a guaranteed HEART! LOL

Everyone else has one, so why not? :)

• Love My Heart full memo pad. I have some memo sheets from this, I am not exactly sure which memo pad it is, but the one I LOVE is the one with the waffles and pancakes and coffee and stuff. I have no idea what brand it is either. Actually if you read this and you do know the brand can you PM me? Thanks!!!

• Blue Polka Dot Bento from Happy Balloon and accessories

• Apple town buttons! SO cute..I found them on Phoophie.com...if you sent me one of these I would love you forever! (i have the egg, juice, and toast)

• Cute fabrics and coordinating thread, zippers, buttons, rick rack, etc.

• handmade anything (stuffies and purses/pouches/smallbags especially!)

• knitted fruit

• pin cushion! I don't have a single one, and my pins are tired of sliding all over my table!

• Felicity Wishes -little books, dolls, anything appropriate for a 4 year old

• Amigurumi -specifically food with faces! So cute!

• felt food for my kids. I love the way they look and I would love to have some!

• kawaii -anything is great! Check above for my abosolute favorites though.

• bento boxes-I just learned of these and they are so cute! I would love to pack lunches for my daughter in one.
