9/23/08- TAKING SOME TIME OFF DUE TO REAL LIFE ISSUES. I live in St. Louis, MO. Married, two teenagers, two cats, and a guinea pig. I love to read, scrapbook, collect DVDs, and cook! I'm an administrative assistant, and in my spare time (which I have very little of) I like to write. I also volunteer at the local Humane Society.

I like a fairly wide variety of music. I listen to mostly adult contemporary and alternative, but I also like a little country, christian rock, and R&B. My five favorite bands/singers are Live, Sister Hazel, Matchbox 20, Rascal Flatts, and Josh Groban.

Hands down: anything by Katherine Kurtz, Tolkien, Jean Auel, or Jennifer Wiener. I tend to read mostly historical fiction, but I've read everything from Kerowac to Creighton.

Favorite of all time: Highlander. Favorite of the past few years: The Lord of the Rings trilogy. My husband and I have an extensive DVD collection, and I don't have only one genre that I stick to. The best movie I've seen in the past six months: Juno.

Currently I'm into "Supernatural", "Burn Notice", "Out of Sight", and "Guy's Big Bite". I am a big fan of "Buffy", "Smallville", and "Star Trek: the Next Generation".

Really, the only crafty thing I do now is scrapbooking. I have a 16 year old and a 14 year old, and I've only gotten through the year 2000 with their photos. I used to do things like make ornaments, shadowboxes, and jewelry, but I just don't have the time anymore!

I used to be part of a Gift Swap many years ago through a mailing list, and I always enjoyed it. I love to get goodies in the mail, and I'm the type of person that will always find a use for whatever I've been given, even if it's as simple as finding someone else who can use it!
