A little bit about me: My names M. I'm a born New Yorker, but I grew up in California, and i've got traveling in my soul. I love all things creative, artistic, unique and DIY, I'm involved in waaaaay too many fandoms,spend many hours on Tumblr, obsess over the perfect photograph and where to go eat, and basically i'm a weirdo who thinks she's pretty cool as well :D

I"m on here because I love snailmail (I'm been doing it for over 5 years now!), mail art, and penpalling. I have a couple of penpals already, but i'm always open for another if we've got a ton in common and you love mailart too :) (Some examples of my mail art are on my blog)

I do put tracking on all my swaps now (in the USA) and/or customs #'s are attached (for international swaps).

Currently the things I'm most interested in: Books and Blogs, traveling/roadtrips, scribbling furiously into my many notebooks, drawing random things I hope will one day be super-awesome things and always always, music!

Artistic pursuits:

I like sewing things, whether it’s stuffed animals or clothes, and I like messing with mixed media projects. I love to draw, simple and complex things, mostly portrait based pieces. Photography is a old and new hobby, something I always come back to. I write,, as if my life depended on it somedays, poems, songs, short stories and stories I wish I could turn into more...one day i'll actually finish one, maybe?

Other and Random:

Keeping healthy, exercise, things homegrown, organic, cage free, cruelty free, handmade and responsibly sourced. Baking and cooking interesting new recipes, exploring new places, hanging out with my bf, people watching, fairy tales and fables,philosophy, psychology, sociology, world news and current events, being informed and not buying into the nightly news panic, social experiments,examinations of sub cultures, supporting gay rights, random studies,science and history (in general, interesting terms) inventive and vintage fashion, sustainable and/or responsibly sourced everything, hole-in-the wall diners and food trucks, used and indie book stores, most anything indie/alternative,postcards, graphic novels, tattoos, cupcakes and other wonderful sweets, indie movies and documentaries, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, and jeez, so much more X___x

Basically, I love books, and anything to do with bookstores, libraries and being a bookworm. Any book suggestions, or even book swaps are welcome!

~ Favorite smells: "food" smells (like candles that smell like cookies, pies, ect.", apple and lemon scents, anything with a woodsy/earthy scent, and normal smells like vanilla .

~ When it comes to Cosmetic items: nailpolish colors are all cool with me, except oranges and really bright pinks....with lipsticks, i'm pretty fair skinned, so I keep in the "mauve" and "lighter reds/pinks" family, and after that, i'm pretty open minded.

~Interesting/different chocolates and candies (I love those weird combos like "ocean salt and cherries" and just anything out of the ordinary

~Gel pens, deco tape, sharpies, things to decorate my letters with :)
