I live in Southwest Virginia in the New River Valley that is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. My husband and I recently moved from San Diego, California and we are LOVING Virginia. I make and sell beaded jewelry that I sell on Etsy, at local craft fairs and at the Southern Virginia Artisan Center. My husband, Jonathan, is the Chef de Cuisine at West End Market at Virginia Tech-a job he loves! We have one bird, an apricot headed caique (pronounced ky-eek),Pookie. She is the sweetest birds and remind us daily of the love and beauty that God put into this world.

My favorite music is country. But I love just about all music; my tastes are very eclectic. I have the radio (XM satellite) on almost all day long. I also like rock(70's and 80's), alternative rock(90's), and artists like Jewel. There is not much music I do not enjoy.

My favorite books are craft books. I used to read a lot for pleasure but during college I did not have time for pleasure reading and I am now out of the habit. Although recently I have read all of the Twilight series. Now, I prefer to bead or knit at times one would normally read.

My favorite movies are Titanic, Finding Nemo, Blue Crush, Charlie's Angels, just a few off the top of my head.

My favorite television show is Gilmore Girls. But I also watch Bones, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice.

Beading and Knitting are my ultimate favorites. I also do some wire wrapping, pearl knotting and bead embroidery. But I am also interested in paper crafts like scrap booking, book making and the like. I also like rubber stamps, crochet and cross stitch. There is really not a craft I will not try.
