18/04/2013 Our PO's strike finally ended (2 months) ánd I have received some mail (at last). Most of my other mail has been received except 2 that are still 1 ratings. I will wait a little longer in case in the backlog or otherwise I will resend again.

10/02/2012 My computer was having problems and eventually "blue-screened" on me. I have got my new laptop now so I will catch up with ratings and respond to messages. I did not send out 2 swaps as I could not get the addresses. I will catch them up in this week and post/message the people concerned. My apologies for those who have had to wait for an answer to messages/ratings but this was out of my control. I hope you understand. 15/02/2012 I am resending any swaps that have not arrived via registered mail and will e-mail tracking to the people if they can message me the e-mail address. There were only 2 I didn't send in January when I could not access the addresses but the others if they have not arrived I will resend to try to fix the ratings.

Hi I am Alison and have just joined (Aug 2012). I am mid-40s and sometimes it feels really strange to say that.

I love snail mail. I live in South Africa where it is not as popular as many other countries sadly. I would love to finsome new penpals too.

I have recenly found washi tape (and deco tape) -it is not easy to find here...but I have found a supplier and bought from etsy. I am totally addicted and love it.

Paper lace

Fave colours purple, cerise pink but I like most colours and can vascilate between neutrals to colourful depending on my mood or what I am doing.

I love to collect inspiring quotations

I like most music and have somewhat eclectic taste.

I like to read biographies and some non-fiction. One of my favourite books that comes to mind is "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet.

I am currently reading a light book Cathy Kelly "Homecoming" as I am working quite long hours

I don't watch a lot of tv - usually I half watch it while doing something else.

I enjoy British humour.
