Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Anke and I live in Munich, Germany's third largest city. It's mostly known for the football club 'Bayern Munich', the Oktoberfest and it's proximity to the Alps.

I'm the swap-bot ambassador for Germany, so please get in touch if you have any questions about my country, or would like to do a private swap. I'm also happy to help with the organisation of regional meet-ups, general swap-bot questions, etc.

Having lived in a European, an African and an Asian capital city, by the beach in France and in a manor house in the English country side, I'm a bit of a nomad. I love travelling and exploring new places, eating strange foods and collecting intercultural experiences. You can write to me in the following languages: Englisch, German and French.

I like all things quirky & creative and make lots of things myself. My all-time favourite activity is making envelopes. I have enough to last me a lifetime! I also enjoy: Drawing, hand lettering, knitting & sewing.

I love all types of snail mail - short postcards are as welcome as long letters, especially if some thought has been put into them.

I don't mind homemade/free/ad cards if they're funny, unusual or beautiful. Don't mind nude or controversial either. The only cards I tend to find boring are those typical touristy postcards.

Whenever I'm not playing Roller Derby for the Munich Rolling Rebels, I spend my evenings curled up in an armchair, sipping on a cup of tea, reading blogs, or a good book. This year, I am participating in the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge, so I'm planning to read a wide variety of books. Currently, I am prepping my Femuary TBR with books by and about women. Suggestions welcome!

I'm gluten-free and love spicy food. I drink coffee and tea without artificial flavours (only dislike: jasmine tea).

DISLIKES:

All things girly and kitschy: purple & orange, cartoon characters (including Hello Kitty & Disney), religious items. I don't collect ATCs, bookmarks, magnets, keychains, or stamps.
