Description:

I'm borrowing this idea from another swap that I found while browsing. I saw she was hosting another one but it was closed to new signups. :(

The idea is to get a USPS flat rate SMALL box OR another box of the same size and cram it full of assorted PINK items. Items are senders choice but here is a list of ideas:

  • stickers
  • pens/pencils/markers
  • note pads/loose paper/note cards
  • magnets
  • buttons
  • candles (votives or tea lights)
  • makeup (nail polish is nice but you can't ship it in the USA sorry :( )
  • handmade items
  • ... the sky is the limit!!! Read your partners profile to get other ideas. :)

(NO GARBAGE - trash will NOT be acceptable at all. If you don't want to receive it do NOT send it. Trash will be given bad ratings. This may seem harsh but I'm tired of garbage. NO - un-usable paper, scraps, ribbons, someone even said they got paint samples... seriously.. NO GARBAGE)

Your items don't have to be 100% pink but the primary color must be pink.

Since the one I'm copying had sooooo many flakes I'm keeping it at 4.8 (with explained 1's and 3's) and Newbies MUST have a COMPLETED profile.

Your package needs to have a value of about $10 to $15 (to avoid people sending garbage) and if you want to go over feel free. I know that I go crazy when sending out my swaps. I love my hearts!!!

no offense, but paint samples aren't garbage, I use paint chips as backgrounds for a lot of my ATC's, and I love them.

An envelope full of free paint samples and nothing else is... not acceptable. Sorry. UNLESS your person specifically requests something along those lines. Personally, I'd be pissed.

Hey @deLux what a great idea to use paint sample chips as a background for ATC's. I've never made an ATC but now I know how to get started. This looks like a fun swap. I'm going hunting for pink things in my craft room and see if I have enough to fill a box.

I use paint chips all the time too. I think an envelope FULL of them is an insult, yes, but to receive a couple along with several other items isn't awful and could be quite useful. I won't send them for this swap though - I'm very excited about it!

I agree, paint sample chips are fine... in moderation LOL The girl who sent them literally sent the entire envelope stuffed with them. Either way! This is going to be a fun swap. I shopped for pink stuff all day :)

I'd like to know more specifically what is trash exactly. I see this in some swaps and it worries me that someone might think I'm sending them trash even though I think I'm sending them usable scraps. I use lots of scrap fabric, fabric samples, paper scraps, etc. in my work and I've never been told there was trash on my ATCs, so I'm just wondering what exactly is trash (other than the obvious food wrappers or containers or tissues or something)? I agree, an envelope stuffed full of any one thing wouldn't be too fun (unless its money or gold!).

rachelcdoyle 07/22/2011 #

trash would be exactly what you listed... - food wrappers etc... - filling it with one item - using something on your partners DISLIKE list because you didn't read the profile..

things like that :)

I'm sending a medium sized box, I'm so excited!

lttleetoile 07/22/2011 #

I am moving this to watchlist while I go out of town, but don't worry, I will rejoin in time!

lttleetoile 07/22/2011 #

Oops, never mind about the watchlist

lttleetoile 07/29/2011 #

When will partners be assigned?

rachelcdoyle 07/29/2011 #

OMG I am so sorry. I didn't even see this was done. Assigning now!!!
