Description:

For this swap you will simply send pick 3 three things from the list below and send to your partner. Please do not send 3 of the same thing, it should be 3 different items. This is a sender's choice swap, but you can check your partners profile if you wish but it is not a requirement of this swap.

* 20 stickers
* 10 buttons
* 10 beads (not seed beads)
* 5 sheets of writing paper with envelopes
* 2 notecards
* 1 ATC made by you
* Address labels for your partner
* Swap cards for your partner
* 3 pens
* 2 postcards
* 1 craft stamp
* 1 Lipbalm
* 1 pair of socks

Just to reiterate you need to send 3 items ie: 1 ATC, 1 pair of socks and 2 notecards, would meet swap requirements. Sending 60 stickers would not. Any questions please PM me before you sign up.

To be eligible to participate in this swap you need to have a fully completed profile.

As always please follow the Swap-bot rules when rating for your swap, hearts are of course at the receiptant's discretion.

Anyone in this group may join this swap as long as you have no 1 or 3 ratings in the last 6 months. If you do have a 1 or 3 rating within the last 6 months and really want to join, please PM me about the reason for the rating. I will then reconsider letting you into the swap. However if you have flaked on me or any of my hosted swaps in the past you are automatically banned. I hate to ban, but I will be completely checking out profiles, and I will ban if I have to do so.

Please note that as this is a newbie's group, some newbie's may have no ratings or very few, this is something to consider when joining.

Please note the swap deadlines when signing up for the swap. Anyone who sends late can quite rightly be given a 3 by their partner. However extenuating circumstances should always be given consideration when rating.

I've got a weird question.

Notecards vs greeting cards: I know there's a technical difference, but I frankly have no idea what it is. Any clues?

I've also got a weird question :)

When you say 10 buttons, do those have to be on cards? I have a huge gallon bag full of loose buttons so I didn't know if those would work.

And what type of pens are people looking for? I bought some generic Walmart "Bic" type pens to try and put polymer clay on, but I haven't tested them in my oven yet. Are the pens required to be decorated or are we sending just 3 pens that haven't been used?

I'm sorry if these questions sound dumb, I just want to make sure I'm doing this stuff right.

@demonna if it were me, I'd think loose buttons would be fine. Mebbe in a little ziplock, y'know. And as for pens, with a swap like this I think any unused pens will do. Granted, I'm a n00b, so there's no telling. :)

This is very cute! It's a shame that a swap like this has only 3 people participating!

Another noob question..what are swap cards, and how many do we send?

kittenred 04/13/2011 #

Loose buttons are generally ok for things like this, postcards are blank inside and usually no text on the front, except for phrases like ...just a note / thank you on them. Don't put bic pens in the oven. They will melt. I'd go with decorated pens than plain ones. Or ones that have a picture on them. Any loose parts like buttons, stickers is put in a baggie / zip lock to help them survive postage, cos if envie gets damaged in transit nothing will be lost. - I've done a few swaps like this before.

*meant notecards, not postcards as we all know what they are!
