Hello All! Here we go again.... With the object being constructing a blanket by the winter holiday....we will send FOUR squares measuring 6in to one partner. These squares may be knit or crochet but please, if you are able, put a crochet border on. It does make the assembling go a bit more smoothly. Please use acrylic or another easy care yarn( cotton is OK too!). Use any colors you like but it is always best to consider your partners preferences when you can. You may list your preferences in the discussion area. The fine print: Newbies and established swappers with a rating of 4.7 or better are welcomed. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason but will generally do that after sign-ups end. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. HAPPY SWAPPING!!!!!

I saw some really cool 12" squares on the internet, and was wondering about crocheting them and mixing up the blanket with 6" and 12" squares. Do you think it would make a patchwork looking blanket?

I dunno Gramma. Hmmm, a patch of four for every 12" square....sounds doable and really cool. You MUST show us pictures if you decide to do that. I will take a look at who your partners are and see what I can do about those missing squares. Let's keep in mind though that the send date for #2 isn't until tomorrow. I know I didn't even get mine sent out until yesterday. Unfortunately those obligatory things like work and school get in the way of the things I really want to do....like crochet...lol.

Also for those of you who are having a really good time, there is a website that also does this sort of thing exclusively. www.knit-crochet.com . If you go there to their "Fun things to do" tab, they also have a granny square swap. It is usually a list of different themes and such and you may join as you see fit. I do swaps through there all the time and would definitely recommend it. It's a good group of people. I have to admit I am considering keeping this a running sort of thing here....maybe even with themes. Would you guys be interested? Lemme know and we will see what is what.

Hello all, Unfortunately I am not going to be able to continue hosting our lovely granny square swap. Work and school and children and wifely duties are getting in the way of my much loved activities. I may be able to jump in for the occasional swap if someone else would like to host for a while. Either way,I have had a wonderful time and I hope you all have too. Please continue on without me and I will, hopefully, be seeing you all around.
