Description:

One man's trash is another mans treasure!

Here is your chance to REALLY destash! Fill an envelope (at least 4"x6" or a #10 envelope) with all the random goodies that you have in your stash that you HATE, and that you CAN'T GET RID OF (but dont want to just throw away)! 10 item minimum, the more you can get rid of the better though!

These items include- paper bits, stickers, fabric chunks, buttons, beads, charms, random ephemera, ribbon... basically anything that can be used that you dont want anymore. This means paper bits too small for normal destash swaps, stickers not wanted in normal sticker swaps, items youve recieved that you dislike, ANYTHING! The items just have to be useful.

The items you send cannot be garbage/dirty/useless. If you have questions about what is or isnt acceptable, please ask!

Nitty gritty- Swappers with 4.9 or higher rating only, no recent 1s or 3s without explanation. Newbies welcome with well filled out profile. I reserve the right to ban questionable swappers.

sorry but I don't want an envelope full of tiny scraps!

Raksava 07/ 4/2010 #

i doubt anyone will send an envelope of confetti. Swap-botters are nicer than that!

my intention was that alot of swaps call for minimum sizes and this swap just wont have a minimum size. for example- if you have a piece of beautiful cardstock, but its only 1" by 6", and the other destash swap you signed up for requires 3"x3" minimum... we will take that smaller BUT STILL USEFUL piece of paper!

@thebragal if you don't want it, don't do the swap.

@Alex I think by "paper bits" the feared envelope filled of the scraps literally the size of glitter that someone has collected "just in case" will arrive. Which I'm sure someone, somewhere, would actually do if the true usefulness of the item part wasn't clarified. In this case, I don't think a comment like TheBragals' was unwarranted! I wouldn't want to s/p/end $15 worth of stuff plus postage only to get something completely useless and out of the spirit of the trade in return!

But I've already packed my envelope with some fun stuff I tend to use while papercrafting. Hopefully the recipient will like them. Yes, I know that the signup date ends on Aug. 1st. I have a LOT of craft stuff, so it helps to see what I'm actively getting out of the way as swaps commence!

I have a box full of all sorts of odd things I was sure I would use someday I am just dieing to send on their way to a new and better home! I would hope nobody sends me an envelope of paper bits, too!

oh gosh I have so much stuff I MUST sign up for this swap. My husband calls my craft room which was supposed to be our OFFICE, my "cave" as he literally can't walk around in it without stepping on something. haha ok I'm in.

i am inundated with paper at the moment, but anything else would be wonderful,

@nigatsubebe The purpose here is to destash, not to spend $15 at the store buying stuff to send.

Raksava, any chance you could assign partners so we could get this under way?

Raksava 08/ 3/2010 #

i apologize profusely, ive been extremely sick/bed-ridden for a few weeks, and it just slipped past me.

CathysUniqueCreations 08/ 3/2010 #

Aww, I hope you get better, I just got over a cold, being sick in the summer heat is the worst feeling ever.
