This swap series will help us to start the new year with an attitude of worship! Read the recommended Bible passages and the thought-provoking blurb below. Send your partner a letter or notecard answering the questions at the end of this post. Bible passages to read and reflect on this week: Ephesians chapter 3 (The Key Passage is Eph. 3:17-19) Romans 8:38-39 If you are a mother, you probably worked hard to build confidence in your children. Isn't it your greatest hope that your children know who they are, and that they would face the world boldly with confidence? With the strong roots you gave them at home, you tried to nurture them in such a way that the world cannot shake them. God loves us in a similar way, yet even far greater. He loves us with an unconditional love that surpasses all knowledge. No one knows a greater love. We are told in Ephesians that it is very deep and very wide. We are told in Romans that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God. Allow God to grow in you a confidence that can take you out into the world. If you are grounded and rooted in Him, nothing can shake you. Through Jesus we have access to God. What are the words Paul uses when he describes how we may come before God in Ephesians 3:12? What does it mean that Christ's love for you passes knowledge? Did you find anything else in your reading that was particularly intriguing to you? Share your thoughts. |
