Washi Bits and Bobs

I used to participate in these types of swaps here years ago, but I haven't seen them lately. I have a special fondness for washi tape, and all of the different designs out there. This is a fun way to receive a variety of tapes.

Here's how it works - take a folded greeting card (about 5" x 7" or so, not a small one) and cover the entire inside (right and left) with packing tape (or other slick surface like contact paper). You should end up with a covered surface of about 7" by 10". You can also cover the front and/or back outsides as well, if you wish, but that's not required. (You can use a piece of cardstock about 7" x 10" folded in half, if needed. If using cardstock, try to make the blank side pretty in some way.)

Now comes the fun part - get out all of your special, fun, unusual washi tapes. Make a patchwork design of washi tapes on the packing tape covered surfaces of your greeting card. Have fun with it. Pieces should be at least 2 inches long, and can certainly be longer. Try to mix it up. Plastic tape is allowed, but not more than three 5" pieces. No repeating pieces - each strip should be unique. The bare minimum is 12 different washi samples, ideally you will have closer to 20 or more. Get creative, have fun. Show off your stash :-) Include a separate note to your partner with swap name, user name and some thoughts about washi tape.

Tapes are senders choice, but it's always nice to accommodate your partner's preferences if you are able.

This is an international swap - it should be flat and not weigh more than one ounce. No 1s or 3s in the last 6 months. Minimum rating 4.98.
