Description:

ABC: Non-Deco (ATC Booklet) Swap #9 of 12

This is a continuation of our round-robin mini book of mail art.

You will use your materials to decorate a page in your partner's mini art journal / ATC booklet.

To participate you're agreeing to do THREE things:

  1. Email me a photo of the page that you added to the booklet in this round. Photos will not be posted on social media nor shared with others at any time without your prior consent. I do my best to respect everyone’s cyber safety and privacy.

    REMEMBER this step, please!

    My email is: lokahi1900@yahoo.com

  2. Only swap these booklets within the ABC group, and no other groups or swaps outside of ABC.

  3. Sign up for multiple rounds of this swap to allow us to pick and choose which booklet to forward to our partner. Please try and sign up for at least TWO rounds at once, if you can! Thank you!!

Of course, please add FLAT art that you are proud to share, keeping in mind the cost to ship will increase if you use anything too rigid or bumpy.

Try to keep these THIN so they can be mailed easily in between rounds. Think of them like a zine in that manner, and send them unfolded to save on postage.

Remember, after adding a single ATC-sized spread of art to the booklet, please sign, and date the back of your art on the booklet page.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, please place the booklet in a safe, yet obvious location while awaiting the next round.

If you didn’t participate in the first few rounds, you’ll have to wait for all remaining rounds to end before joining in. That way each participant of this “round robin” style swap gets their booklets back. I hope that I’m explaining that adequately.

If the 'bot ends up returning your booklet to you please know that you don’t have to add a page to your booklet if you don’t want to, but you may end up having some blank pages at the end of the swap series.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I maybe forgot to think through.

Total pages in the book (including cover) = 14

I recommend sending these booklets in an envelope with the center pages open [ | ] to eliminate bulk. They'll mail for the price of one "USPS forever stamp", as long as they remain flat and relatively flexible.

The booklet measures approximately 5.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches tall when opened (laying flat). Folded (booklet style), it's approximately 2.75" by 4.25". There are a dozen pages inside (not including the cover). The seam is bound with two staples, which can easily be removed and replaced with sewn binding if one so desired. The blank booklet weighs 0.4 ounces.

I believe there’s 6 original members of this swap series, but we lost a person for some reason. So, if the signup date arrives and not everyone has signed up in time I ask that you please send me a message so we can coordinate the return of ATC booklets to their appropriate owners. Also, if anyone has experienced the unfortunate circumstance of USPS losing their booklet, let me know.

Thank you for your participation in this swap and for your continued patience throughout the process. Many lessons have been learned from this experience and I will be certain not to coordinate it in the future without resolving those issues in advance. 😉
