Description:

This was a swap I participated in a couple of years back and I liked it a lot, so I thought I'd borrow the idea from @jessnewson98 until she comes back.

For this swap, you will have three (3) partners and you will be sending them an email. Ensure you use the BCC function when emailing your partners. In the email, list all the books you read/listened to this year and let your partner know whether they were from the library, your shelves or part of your TBR.

Also, include some thoughts about all or some books on your list; then answer at least five of the questions below:
• What was your favourite read of 2023?
• What was your first read of the year? Last read?
• Did you re-read any books/series this year?
• Did you have a comfort read this year? If yes, what was it?
• Did you read more or less this year than last year?
• How many books did you borrow this year? (e-services included from the library)
• How many books did you buy this year?
• Did you buy any books from Independent booksellers?
• How many books did you read/listen to this year?
• Did you have a reading goal for this year? If yes, did you meet it?
• Did you try any new genres?
• What was your favourite scene in any book you read?
• Who was your favourite character of the year?
• Did you attend any bookish, literary, or library events online or in-person this year?
• If you could choose to live in or visit any of the books you read this year, what book would it be and why?
• Who was your favourite author of the year?
• Did you have any anticipated reads for the year? Did they meet your expectations?
• What are some things you are thankful for this year relating to books/bookshops/libraries/literature?
• Do you have any anticipated reads for 2024?
• How many books did you read from your TBR this year?
• Did you add any books to your TBR?

If you have any questions, send me a message or drop them in the comments below.

Let's wrap it up, 2023! Here comes 2024!

I don't know what TBR stands for - explain please. Any chance you could make this mail and not electronic - or sender's choice? It's long and I'd prefer writing the answers in a letter.

TBR = To be read

Thanks @hellojett for explaining.

@junemoon If you want, check with your partner when assigned if it’s ok to send a snail mail version. For me it’s ok. Just make sure to check with your partner first ❤️
