Description:

This is a re-post of the swap I had originally intended to host in January, but had to cancel due to unexpected illness. Sorry to anyone who had joined before, I hope you will join again!

For this international swap you will have one (1) partner and you'll send them a written notecard in a decorated envelope!

The notecard should be blank inside (no greeting, holiday, or thank you) and can be any size, but if it's smaller than standard consider continuing your note on a piece of paper so your partner will have a nice long note to read. Please fill up all or the majority of the card with your writing and don't write in cursive as some find it difficult to read.

You may write about anything you'd like! Here are some ideas if you're stumped: how your day/week/month is going, something you're looking forward to, something that's been on your mind lately, a review of a movie or book you recently enjoyed (or hated!), poetry or prose you love or some you've written yourself, the dream you had last night, fun facts about your favorite topic, a mutual interest you share with your partner - the possibilities are endless!

The envelope should be decorated and use real stamps. It doesn't need to be elaborate, it should just be something fun to find in the mailbox! You can use stickers, washi tape, rubber stamps, drawings or doodles, collage, hand make your envelope or anything else you'd like.

Extras/tuck-ins are not required, though if you have something your partner would enjoy feel free to include it.

Here are the rules, simplified:

  1. Take a blank notecard (no greeting, holiday, or thank you cards) - sender's choice, including handmade if you like - and write on the inside so the majority is filled with your writing. Smaller than standard cards should consider continuing the note on a piece of paper so the length is satisfactory to read.

  2. You may write about anything you'd like! (see above for some topic suggestions) Please don't write in cursive - print only.

  3. Envelope should be decorated and mailed with real stamps.

  4. No need to include tuck-ins or extras, but if you have something your partner would enjoy feel free to do so.

  5. Include swap name and username somewhere in the card. Please rate fairly if you receive a fully written notecard in a decorated envelope and leave a comment with your rating even if it's just to say thank you.

Please message me with any questions you have or if any issues arise pertaining to this swap. I will check all participants for anything problematic before assigning partners. If you are flaked on, I will angel after you try to communicate with your partner and rate them a 1.
