Description:

Write a letter, at least one full page -- don't repeat your profile and don't bother with the weather unless it's really important. Write about how you've survived the last year-- if necessary talk about being sick, or maybe losing important people. Tell you partner what you learned and things you did that made the time pass. (for example, I'm a slow reader and try to avoid long books but I chose to read several 500 pagers and I'm glad I did). If you have a photo that tells part of your story include it. Be sure to write a letter you'd like to receive. Mark when it's sent and when you receive from your partner rate --some post offices have been very slow so it's important to rate your partner so she knows you got the letter. Let's talk to friends who are all OFAPpers.

Hi there, cool swap b u t I prefer sending-out cards only often due to lack of mood and time :)

I’m not joining. I don’t feel up to writing a letter right now.

I'm behind in penpal letters and don't feel I can take on another letter at this time.

I have penpal letters I need to reciprocate and don't feel I should sign up for another letter swap. Whew, already busy with holiday crafting as well.

I was happy to see a letter swap appear in the group. Not joining however because I cannot commit right now (too much else going on) and have several letters to reply to weighing on my conscience. A serious letter is something I really need to sit down for (=good thing but not always doable). Somehow a swap similar to the "Weekend Notecard" series (see http://swap-bot.com/swap/show/322303) is more low-key for me and can be done "in between". And I don't mean because it's writing about my weekend ;-) I hope this helps!
