Description:

I am so excited to continue the Halloween ATC swap series for this year! There will be 9 months of ATC swaps, so that by the end you will have an entire 9 pocket sheet filled up. Join one or all - there will also be a make-up month in October.

We are going to do something a little different this year - instead of an overall theme for the series, we will be focusing on different crafting techniques each month.

For January, will be making an ATC featuring a packing tape transfer image. Here is a link to one of the best tutorials I have watched for doing this process.

(sorry, you will have to cut and paste)

Everything she says is spot on - do not try to use an image printed on photo paper - it either doesn't work or comes out poorly. Do not use an image copied on an ink jet printer - quality is poor - laser printer prints work better but the best is an image from a magazine or scrapbook paper. Make a few and see which ones come out best.

You are going to use your transfer tape image to create a Halloween themed ATC. You will have to have at least 2 other techniques in your ATC besides the transfer. These may include drawing, painting, collage, rubber stamping, distressing.

You do not have to use a book page background as she does in the video. You can use any type of background that you want, as long as you can see most of the tape image.

You should also add a few other embellishments as well, anything from washi to brads, charms, buttons, etc.

Enclose your ATC in a plastic sleeve once it is dry and send your ATC inside a note card with your name, swap name and a brief note to your partner.

Each month will feature a new technique - I have the entire series planned and will post it in next months swap. I am open to suggestions for fun techniques though, so message me if there is something you would like to try! Also, message me with any questions about this swap
