Description:

There will 13 swaps in this series. You can feel free to join one or all of the swaps. If you join all 13 you will have an entire deck of playing card with the theme of things with wings.

To insure continuity in the deck, the entire deck will require that all the cards made, will have an actual book page as a background. You may add distress ink or color. Any language is allowed. Hopefully you have a damaged book to cover the 52 cards. If not ask your local library or a thrift store.

This is for APCs, which are altered playing cards. The idea is that the top left corner of card is bare to reveal the suit, such as, hearts, spades etc and the number or Jack King Queen.

Keep in mind that playing cards can come in various sizes and we are only using cards that are 2.5 wide and 3.5 in length. If you send the wrong size, you will be asked to resend. So measure.

You can buy 2 decks of playing cards for $1 that are the correct size at most Dollar stores, but again MEASURE. Go over to their area with the rulers and measure. Michael's sells card decks and they are often too small. On another trip to the Dollartree store, I found one decorative deck of cards, of the correct size for $1. The selection may vary at your local $1 stores.

You will send your partner 4 playing cards, one of each suit, one heart, one club, one diamond, one spade.

Feel free to use postage stamps on one or more of the cards. There are some really awesome postage stamps with birds. Your four cards can coordinate, but please don't put the same image on your 4 cards. Your partner deserves some variety in their cards.

Aces, Robins and/or Sparrows, and/or Thrushes

TWOS Flamingos

THREES Ostriches and/or owls

FOURS. Chickens and/or Ducks

FIVES Peacocks, and/or Parrots.

SIXES Butterflies and/or Moths

SEVENS Bees, wasps

EIGHTS Dragonflies, ladybugs,

NINES More butterflies and moths

TENS. Black birds

JACKS Penguins

QUEENS senders choice any animal with wings.

KINGS. Red and/or Blue birds

Sticker slapping goes beyond just adding stickers to a background. So please don't just add a bird to a book page, please use more elements, such as, ink, and embellishments, words, borders, trims, brads, gems, charms, you get the idea add some layers and techniques.

You can hand draw, but you do need to still use the book page background. Some of you are talented enough to be able to do that. Those artists who hand draw or paint or zentangle are not required to add more elements listed above.

This is an international swap. Please allow time for mail to arrive.

Please mail on time. Please do not overcommit yourself. If you are chronically late in swaps then you wont be allowed in future swaps. If you get rated a 3 for being late in this series or for not meeting the swap requirements, then you also wont be allowed in future swaps. Make sure you understand your commitment.

I will angel this swap after you have contacted your sender twice and have rated them a 1.

This is such a cool idea, you always have the best creative ideas ;) How far into this series have you gotten so far? Summers are my favorite time of year to do crafts and swaps, etc, because as you know, its way too hot to be outside when ya live in Phx AZ!

I wonder if I need more than Flamingos for the TWOS? Any suggestions?

I went through my postage stamps and my rubber stamps and found all kinds of birds I didn't list yet.
