Description:
We will be making 1 ATC for 1 partner. There will be 2 rules posted at the bottom of this description, you will follow them. In addition, each person who signs up will comment a rule. Rules can be silly (all writing must be backwards, make as much as you can with your toes) or content based (must not contain babies, must be blue). Rules cannot contradict a previous rule @swapperjoe said all red and @swapperjake says all blue) or be practical (must use a sleeve, etc) Rules must also not be too specific (must be 96% periwinkle blue) or call for supplies that you wouldn't reasonably expect everyone to have access to. (everyone has T.P. not everyone has embossing powder.) If you have not commented your rule by the time I go to assign partners I will have to drop you. Don't forget to contribute. Your ATC must follow all rules posted. Feel free to be silly. (: NOTE: Before assigning partners I will copy and paste all rules into the swap description to avoid confusion. You must follow all the rules. You can hit more than one rule at a time. Starting Rules: ATC must be standard ATC size (shaped ok as long as it's 2.5 by 3.5 somewhere on it.) ATC must not be made on printer paper. Additional Rules: * must have a hint of nature * must have some sort of glitter on it * there must be an allusion to mangoes OR tentacles on the atc (but definitely not both) * you must draw something on the atc (front or back) (your choice of drawing tool) * you must add a pretty piece of paper in some way, shape or form * The number 4 must be used. (not 4 of something, the actual number) * you may not use scissors, except for to cut the atc itself. Bonus point: write what you used instead of scissors on the back of your atc.

Just clarifying.. we have to only follow our partner's rule or all of the rules that people post?

Follow all the rules!

When I go to assign swap partners I will compile all [valid] rules into the "additional rules" section of the description so they will be easier to keep track of.

You will follow both the starting rules plus all the additional rules.

I actually have hosted this swap before with a total of 8 participants. You can see that swap here if you want to see an example of compiled rules. The results were a ton of fun.

there must be an allusion to mangoes, OR tentacles on the ATC, but definitely not both. you must choose between the mango or the tentacle!

This is ridiculous, and I love it.

You must add a piece of pretty paper in some, way shape, or form!

Side note: Can two rules be combined, such as cutting out a nature-y element from sparkly paper?

@heynowokay yes! rules can be combined. your nature element could be cut from paper, it could be drawn, it could be an actual leaf coated in glitter glue if you want.
As long as you hit all the points you're good, even if you double dip.

You may not use scissors. Except for the ATC itself (which should probably be cut with a paper cutter or trimmer, anyway).

I think it's beautiful. In the spirit of being absurd all items on my atc will be cut with my bread knife.
(ok, not really, that'd be awful on my bread knife. I am going to make people mention what sharp thing they used instead of scissors though. Because I have the power.)
