Description:

April is National Letter-writing Month. Is anyone else participating in the Write_On Challenge of 30 Letters in 30 Days? This swap is for anyone wanting some accountability or encouragement throughout the month. Here’s how it works...

Sign up. Keep a log of who you write to each day. You don’t have to be very detailed at all. The date and the first name of who you wrote to is enough, although you could be more forthcoming if you wanted to and include what you sent and/or why. On April 30, write a letter to your partner describing your Write On experience and include your log. It doesn’t have to be a long letter, but it should discuss at minimum one of the following subjects: How you learned of the Write On Challenge, why you participated in the challenge, what surprised you about the challenge, what you took away from the challenge, or if you will participate again (or continue to write more regular letters) and why.

We can use the comment section if we need some prompts or encouragement throughout the month.

I’m calling this a type 3 swap since it is a month long commitment requiring 30 letters/30 stamps. I won’t set a minimum requirement, but will ban at my discretion for drama, late sends, unexplained 1s and 3s. Let me know you understand the rules and have read the requirements by sending me a message if you have fewer than a dozen type 3 swaps, or any other exceptions are requested.

I'm participating, but I'm still looking for people to write to...we will see if I make it all 30 days. I was thinking of making some swaps here so I have more people to write to on my "empty" days. Do you think people would be interested in that?

Certainly any swaps sent with a letter would that would qualify. There are usually RAK requests in the PFs for letters, too. And, the Write On Challenge Link has many suggestions for reasons to write and who to write to.

I was asked if it would count to write to people we already write to regularly. I don't see why it wouldn't qualify by continuing to write to people you already correspond with. It probably would not be within the spirit of the challenge to write exclusively to those we already correspond with, but I see no reason to exclude those we regularly correspond with from the challenge.

Are we allowed to write more than one letter per day (and possibly not write a letter another day), as long as it all adds up to 30 letters within April?

neecie 04/ 1/2016 #

... since I really don't know 30 people to send to, I will take advantage of anyone who posts here, too!

feel free to pm me if you'd like my addy,

=)

Since the spirit of the Write On campaign is to get into the habit of writing daily, you might not receive the same benefit if you "stockpile" letters for a day when you don't want to write one. That said, I am not going to be the letter writing police; you are accountable to yourself, and your partner.
