Description:
I haven't see this particular washi craft yet, so here goes! :) Take an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of white or light-colored cardstock and fold it longways. Open it and fold it in half shortways, then without opening it, fold one more time longways so that you have a piece that's about 2-3/4" x 8-1/2". ( It sounds more complicated than it is because all you're doing is folding to make business cards.) Now open the paper up and completely cover one side in random pieces of washi. Any size pieces placed in any kind of pattern- or non pattern. Cover that entire thing with washi so no paper shows through on that one side. Press the washi down so it sticks well or you may want to carefully cover that side with clear packing tape so no washi peels up. Now, turn it over and carefully cut along the folded lines to make 8 cool, washi-covered swap cards for your partner. :) Send them in an envelope that's got some washi love on it along with a note with the swap name and your swapbot name. Have fun! (If you don't want to do all that folding, you can measure it out and lightly mark with a pencil. You may be able to cut this with a papercutter but don't let it nudge up your washi.)

I did this same thing for a PC and never imagined it would survive the mail so I set out to find a way to 'keep it together' Dig out your iron - you know that thing that you use on clothes in an emergency! Then find a piece of parchment paper or plain brown paper bag. Heat the iron to high, press down all the little edges, put parchment/brown paper over top and iron away. The heat activates the glue and it sticks for life - even in the US postal system! WARNING - use the parchment/ brown paper cover, deco tape will disintegrate, $ store washi wrinkles, and glitter tape gets brittle and falls off.

Actually, my husband knows how to iron better than me. I refuse, and if my clothes are wrinkly, so be it. LOL!

LOL! This convo cracks me up! I am famous around here for the ice cube trick.....throw 5-6 ice cubes in the dryer with wrinkly clothes for 5-10 minutes.....WA-LA! Magic 'ironing' LOL!

@DaisyTX my dryer is my iron, too! Lol! I'm also not above flat-ironing my collar or hem while I'm doing my hair- lol.
