Description:

I am so inspired by the country India....

The art of this nation circumferences a huge array of colour, movement, peace, tranquillity and love!

For this swap, you will make ONE ATC for ONE partner.

Your ATC can be inspired either by the traditional art of the country as a whole OR by the magnificent Henna art that is traditional to India, or a combination of both.

Your ATC will be either drawn or painted - NO collage, no stickers, no glitz (yes, I know Bollywood is all about glitz, but this swap is more about the traditional art of the country than the modern art please). Zentangling IS allowed too... as most Henna designs are a form of Zentangle anyway.

This swap is not for newbies, sorry, a rating of no less than 4.95. I would prefer you have had at least 10, type 3 swaps. This swap IS INTERNATIONAL so if you don't think you can afford to join, then please don't.

Usual ATC rules apply, 2.5 x 3.5 inch firm card, in a plastic sleeve (or a zip-lock bag - just something to protect it)

Please write the name of the card, the medium used, your name, the date and your email address on the back... oh.. and don't forget to sign your art please!

I do hope you have fun with this. If you haven't yet watched the movie 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' then for inspiration and a wonderful 'feel' for the country, I highly recommend watching it :D

Also, if you are stuck for inspiration, type 'Art of India' or Henna Art of India' into Google Images and your mind will be blown :D

Thank you for reading, I do hope you will consider joining this one.

Oh... and I reserve the right to ban anyone too.... to protect the integrity of this swap, I think you will understand. Thank you. C:

does it have to be Brown/Black and white only? Or can it be colored in?

ThESwEeTiE 02/ 6/2014 #

As the Indian tradition is as best you can please.... I believe they use a little colour, deep reds and greens... check out google images and put in the words 'Traditional Henna Designs' for inspiration, thank you for asking <3 By the way... zentangles aren't usually 'coloured in' so I will leave it with you...

does anyone thing the post date is too long?
