NECESSARY STUFF

Hi, living in Outback Australia means that I have to live with slow postage... sorry... If I tell you something has been sent, then I have sent it, Please be patient, thank you!

I am 62 years old this year (2021) and proud of it, my husband Kyle and I are 'empty-nesters' now - I have 4 adult children and five AMAZING Grandchildren!

We live 15 kilometres away from Tara, a tiny little Queensland town that holds Camel Races every second year - its claim to fame I think LOL We moved here in February 2018 - in the middle of a bad heat wave, when it was 47 degrees - and we had no water, no electricity - but we were lucky to have 35 acres and a 25 foot caravan to sleep in... there wasn't much sleep in the first few weeks! We now have a nice shed/home, its ok, could be better of course! We love it out here, I have integrated into the community and have a good social life with artist friends as well as crafters.

My tastes in music are quite eclectic... I have loved the Beatles more than the Rolling Stones all my life, but now that I am older and can choose for myself what I want to listen to (as opposed to what others want to hear around me), I lean towards heavy metal, classical, eastern (and combinations of all of them). Favourite music includes the artists:

I am not at all a fan of country music except for a very select few (Garth Brooks as Chris Gaines, Linda Ronstadt)

I am also not a fan of rap and hip hop music, and the 'new' music that is around in the top 40, it just leaves me cold.

YAY!! I am now into needle felting and basically anything to do with felting and sewing in general.

A good friend gave me her stash of felting things, and I was hooked!

I have only needled my finger once so far, so I think thats good going :)

My husband and I don't watch television, so the internet and movies are what we 'do'.

I do like a good sappy, tear jerking movie.. but I also like action and horror! Eclectic again :p

My favourite movie has to be Red Dog I think... there are many good movies, but this one caught my complete attention the whole way though and made me want to visit the area... second favourite is The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel... GREAT acting and brilliant locale - again making me want to visit!

In the horror category... The Descent has to be the scariest I have seen... I don't like movies that centre around the occult that is a different category again.

So that is about it.

I am a pretty ordinary person really.... just being happy and living day to day in an unmaterialistic way...

I AM an artist, not a 'crafts-person' - so I skipped the craft section and also, as I said before, I don't watch television...

Also, I am NOT a religious person... I lean towards Buddhism if 'any' religion is where I must lean... but prefer Secular Humanism and I believe firmly in keeping good values, doing the right thing, being honest and humble.

I do think that Karma is real as well.
