US taken.

Love the idea of this, but wouldn't it make more sense to have only 1 partner? Otherwise we'd have to buy the same newspaper 5 times...

I think the five partner idea is great. Since theres only one person from each country, youll get headlines from 5 different countries - very cool idea!

@Aankee I wanted each of us to have an interesting mix of papers from around the world. Perhaps you could get your neighbors or family to save their paper for you?

TereDiane1954 10/29/2013 #

@Twocmom thanks!

A little note to the watchers: if you want to join, don't wait too long, or someone else from your country may join, and then you can't. :(

I'm a little confused about the restriction of one person per country. I know for certain that the headline on the paper from the town I grew up in will be completely different from the one on, say, the Toronto paper. Canada's a big place- the headline in Montreal, Regina or Vancouver will be different in each place.

South Korea :D

@Milo yes, of course you are right. All the headlines from different cities within a country would indeed be varied. I set it up the way I did because I want every person to get newspapers from all different countries. It's not so much about the headlines, but about the countries. Happy Christmas to all of you!

So, I'm really sorry about this, but I only just realised that there were no newspapers published in Germany on the 25th, as it's a bank holiday (should have thought of this, but I only recently moved back here from abroad). Instead, I'll be sending my partners the front page of the paper from the 24th which is the day on which we celebrate Christmas here officially. Hope this is ok for everyone. Apologies again. Anke

No problem for me @Aankee Our papers come out on the 24th but are dated the 25th. lol Everything is closed here on the 25th so no newspapers on the 26th for us.
