Description:

This is a swap for people who - from time to time - need a little kick in a certain bodypart to practice more drawing... When partners are assigned, we will get two weeks to make 10 doodles. You can draw something every day or all in one day, it doesn't matter, as long as your partner gets 10 little drawings from you.

I won't specify a style or a medium and I'm calling it 'doodles' so that nobody would be rated down because someone decides that their drawings aren't good enough. The theme is however 'little things' ~ something small that is a part of your life. And as always ~ please please try to make it a happy mail day for your partner!

This swap is actually more about you drawing and sending, than about receiving. You may state your preferences in the comment section and your thoughtful partner might follow them, but it's not a must. The only requirement would be 10 drawings of little things.

Attention ~ people who really just want to try out drawing are welcome to join! It's about encouraging people to try their hand at it or to practice more often. If you're an experienced artist, don't rate down just because somebody still takes baby steps. You can help and motivate them with your advice instead.

It should be clear that as a host, I have the right to ban anyone for whatever reasons. I dislike flakers, non-raters, drama-queens and I won't allow them in any of my swaps.

Any particular size wanted/demanded ???

I would prefer a tag size or journaling card size, so that I can smash them in my journals....

Watching for now.

hmmmm... I'd prefer not to set a certain size, because I know from my drawings that one may be bigger/smaller than another. About journaling size sounds good... I'm thinking about being able to ship all those doodles in a flat envelope for a standard letter price.

How big is journaling size? Also, would this swap be good for someone who is new to drawing?

I sketch a lot of ideas for later use on Atc's and postcards. They are around about ATC size 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches on any scraps of paper and even newspaper. I use pens, felt tips, pencils and whatever I have on hand. Are these suitable?

I edited the description where I stated that people new to drawing are welcome, same as paper scraps and pens that are lying around ^.^ Thank you for asking!

This swap makes me happy (and S-B just made me sad). @taoiinam I still have your gorgeous sushi postcard hanging on my fridge.

@carmen awwww, happy to hear that ^.^

I love doodling on index cards. They are cheap and easy to store plus if they look good they are easy to transfer into a journal or sketchbook.

I encourage everyone to rate fairly, even if it means handing out ones and threes! Contact me if there is any trouble!
