Description:

I doodle a lot but never tried a pattern doodle which I think Zentangles are. So, I though we should try one if you never did and if you did, make another. If you google Zentangle then you can see what it is, that is what I had to do. These can be done on either an ATC size or 4 x 5 inches. This will be my first, let it be yours too and love to see those that you have done many of continue on.

You choose the patterrn but do google the website to see what it is all about.

Hope you have the time since the holidays are almost upon us. If you can do this you can do this now before you get a swapper name.

Newbies welcome with filled out profile.

Don't sign up if you have any one ratings this year. If you have a three this year recently(6 mns.) forget joining, if you have three rating I will also check and see why

International as it will only take one stamp.

If you are not a member, come join up. Artistically Inclined

Remember: You do not have to be a superb artist, just have fun with it. No one will be a critic.

I am so glad you see you post a zentangle swap. I have been teaching classes in this new BUT very old art form for a couple of years now. It'll be fun and also relaxing..so I'm in.

I just started doing Zentangle, and am definitely hooked! Went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and bought pens and markers.

4X6 would be a better size (4 x 5 is non-standard; it would be hard to mat and frame).

This website has patterns and instructions for free: http://tanglepatterns.com

Zentangle is a branded name by a couple who own copyright and the publishing rights on the book series so you will also see "tangle patterns" "zen doodle" and other phrases to avoid using the trademarked name.

I'm new to this style. I have been using Faber-Castell PITT pens, they like Sakura micron with water-proof India ink.

Please check the "tile" size on the zentangle patterns.com I intend on doing mine more of a square than a 4 x 6 postcard, or still I may do mine even an atc size. Any size can be framed with a matt. It is up to the sender. I matt my own.,
