Do you know someone who would like to get a Valentine card that maybe won't be getting many or could use some cheering up? My niece is in the Peace Corps in Africa and I was thinking it would be nice for her to get some cards from other caring swapbotters. If you know someone - maybe someone elderly - someone in the hospital - someone new to your community/country - someone stationed overseas - someone in the armed forces... Here's the deal - you will have 2 partners. When partners are assigned you will email them the address of someone you would like them to send a cheery Valentine card to and why you have selected them. You can send each of your 2 partners the same name & address or send each one a different address. When you get the addresses - send out your cards and email your partner that you have sent your card(s) out. Since the cards are not going to you - you will have to rate your partner when they email you that the have sent the cards out. If you can't commit to sending 2 cards out (possibly internationally) please don't sign up. The idea is to do something nice for someone else so no flakers wanted! Edited dates - extended time!

It's such a nice idea! But why the last day to sing up is January 11th when the valentine day is just on February 14th? Maybe some more people would join this swap?

I think I will extend it until next week. I made it early so mail traveling far has time to get there. But I think another few days would be good!

Thanks! If we don't hear back from our partners as to who they want us to send to (one of mine hasn't responded to my msg), do we just send it to our partner themselves? The deadline is tomorrow and I have the card all ready and waiting to write and send...

Hi! I sent you message a few days ago but I thought I'd follow up here too. Please send me a private message with the name and address of the person you would like the Who NEEDS a valentine" swap to be sent to... The deadline for sending on time is tomorrow (Jan,21,2012). If I don't hear from you by then, I will just send something to you instead. Hope to hear from you! :o)

Oh dear, I've just reread the above and think I have done this swap the wrong way around!!! Instead of mailing my partners the address of someone I wanted them to send a V card to, I asked my partners who THEY wanted me to send to and sent off to their chosen people!! I emailed my chosen people to the partners who were meant to send to me! Did anyone else do this and have I botched up the whole thing now?!
