Lorne, I Need a Reading

This swap is for fans of the Joss Whedon TV show, Angel.

Lorne invites all (human, demon, swapper, vampire, mystical creature) to Caritas to benefit from his gift of aura reading to set you on your path. I encourage you to reach out to Lorne in this swap to receive the reading that may direct you and help you find your way.

In this swap, you will send your Lorne (partner) part of the lyrics of three different songs as well as a little something to thank him for his willingness to share his gift. (Typically you'd just buy him a drink at Caritas, but that's just not feasible this time around.)

The breakdown:

• pick THREE different songs and send the lyrics to your Lorne. (You can send the whole song if you'd like, but remember that on the TV show, you never got to hear the character sing the whole song. Just bits and pieces. Which may make it fun for interpretation).

• include the title and artist somewhere in your letter so if your Lorne enjoys the song, he can add it to his iPod after the reading.

• send along a small profile surprise to Lorne to help ensure an accurate reading. This surprise should be under $5 and should mostly be flat. I'm thinking maybe a bulky envelope for the whole swap. If you have any questions about this piece, please let me know.

That's it for the first (rateable) part of this swap.

Now for the real fun!

When you receive your lyrics, do a reading for your partner. Write them a letter back telling them what you feel is headed their way based on the lyrics they sent you. It can be funny or sincere, whichever you are more comfortable with.

Your letter can be as long as you feel is necessary. Keep in mind that Lorne was always willing to help. And you are taking his place now, so don't scrimp on the advice/input/aura reading.

Because the funnest part of this swap is "non-rateable" I am setting stricter requirements for those joining: 5.0 rating, no newbies (I'm sorry, but I'll do another and you can join it then!), and I need at least 10 Type 3 swaps (just to show you are willing to commit).

I will be doing a good check of the profiles because I don't want any flakers and want to ensure everyone gets a reading from their Lorne. To see what the future holds.
