C+P Paper Garland

I've been wanting to do some paper garland for awhile now and thought that this time of year would be the perfect opportunity to finally get to it. Holiday festivities & preparations are starting to kick in to high gear and the winter blues are looming...time to bust out some sweet paper decor & bring a little cheer.

For this swap we will create one length of paper garland, at least 2 feet long, for one partner. You should aim for a simple design that can easily be mailed flat in a letter or greeting card envelope (so no paper chains, lanterns, large pennants, etc). Paper style, shapes and colors are sender's choice ~ make it something nice your partner can happily use to decorate their space....around their monitor, mirror, bulletin/inspiration board, etc.

The Rules

• Your garland needs to be one continuous piece at least 2 feet in length (24 in / 60.96 cm). You can go longer, but don't go overboard.
• Try to keep the size of the paper pieces around 2" or smaller. This is meant to be a small garland, not a major wall or mantle installation.
• Construction can be done by gluing, sewing, knotting ~ however its done, the paper pieces should hold their places when the garland is hung.
• When your garland is complete, wrap it nicely around some cardboard so it doesn't get tangled up with itself in transit.
