I'm kinda a loner right now, (Not of my own choosing mind you.) and thought doing something like this might help bring me out of my shell a bit more while my S.O. is gone away to sea. And as a creative outlet so the stress of my job doesn't eat me alive.

I'd love to do more 1-on-1 swaps, so if you think of anything you might like me to make you, or think you might have something I'd like let me know.

Well I guess I should say a bit about me. I'm very much into plants and faeries. I've got a B.S. in Botany from the University of Washington, and know more stuff about plants than most people should. My favorite plant is ivy, even though it'll take over and I can't really recomend anyone planting it outside.

I've also got a very big connection to anything faerie-like. Heck my nickname is even Faerie. I've got a whole box of glass humming-birds, faeries, dragons, leaves, snowflakes, droplettes and other silly things I had hanging from my ceiling at my old apartment. I've just started to get my collection hanging back up in my "new" place. (we've been here since january)I've just started getting over some emotionally horrible times. (lost job, lost apartment, had to move, got a new job that is killing me, lost a long time friendship, and S.O. is now in a career where he's gone for 6 months at a time.) Swap bot had definately helped me get my creativity back and have things to look forward to. {cause you never know what might turn up in the mail for you.1:}

I'm pagan and have been for many years, so please keep that in mind before sending anything christian or bible related. If it's Sun God, Goddess or Celtic though I'll probably love it.

Favorite colors: Purple, emerald green, silver

Favorite animals: Tabby cats (got 2 fur-kids I just adore) but I also love Rats, Frogs, Hawks, Dragonflies, Hummingbirds & small turtles

Other things I love: Faeries, Dragons, and other cool mythical creatures. (Even Ogres! My S.O.'s nickname is Ogre. So of course the Shrek movies are totally our thing!)

My favorite plants currently are:

• ROSES!!(thanks to my "Beauty & the Beast" obsession flaring up again.

• and Paphilopedlum orchids (Lady Slippers for those who don't speak plant geek)

I really don't do a whole lot of reading anymore but there are quite a few books and stories that I just ADORE. Top on my list is the story of Beauty and the Beast. I love this fairytale, and have read every version I can get my hands on. (I just can't get myself to watch the disney movie version though, because I think I'd be so dissapointed I'd cry.) My favorite authors include Ray Bradbury, Daniel Quinn, Anne Mc Caffery, Oh Darn! I know there's others I can't think of.

Legend, Ever After, Pan's Labyrinth, The Last Unicorn, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Dune (the old 80's version!), Howl's Moving Castle and many more I can't think of right now.

I don't watch much T.v. lately but when I do watch things it's usually CSI, old X-Files re-runs, bad sci-fi or horror movies. things like that. I can remeber a few series that I really enjoyed when I watched them, Firefly (got it on disk!!) Carnivale (two bad it was only 2 seasons.) Earth 2, Seaquest DSV. can't really think of more right now.

any and all. I do just about everything except flower aranging, and scrap-booking. I just don't think I'd be good at flower aranging, and haven't done much scrap-booking to really get into it yet. But I do spin my own yarn, knit, cross-stitch, embroider, do beadwork, sew, paint and embelish stuff. I really love making things, in fact I can't really remember a time when I didn't make things. I love making knitting stitch markers or beaded dangly earrings. I've gotten good reviews on my earrings.
