My name is Andie and I have been married for 21 and a half years to my childhood sweetheart. I met my husband when I was 10 and he was 12. We both were doing puppets at our church for the children. The pastor of our church told us one Sunday afternoon that he would marry us one day. He did not get the opportunity, however he wasn't surprised when our wedding invitation arrived. In 1996 when my husband's grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversery at the same camp ground where we shared our first kiss and my husband carved our initials in a tree, my husband was able to take our three girls, and show them the tree. We were both surprised that the tree was still there. I have three girls. Stefani is 20, and lives in Idaho. She is substitute teaching while she gets her teaching degree. Kassi will turn 18 in July, and graduates from high school this month, Kristian is 14 and begins high school this fall. I am very active for a cure for diabetes as Kassi has type 1. My husband, Kent was in the Navy for 20 years and we have lived in some wonderful places, and my Dad was in for 32 years. With Kent we were in San Diego for 8 years, Hawaii for 4, Port Hueneme, CA. for 4 yrs. Port Hueneme is between Malibu and Santa Barbara. It is prime real estate. Right there near Hollywood. We then moved to Virginia Beach, VA. where he retired, and bought our first home in Chesapeake, VA. We have a nice size home, on the water on 3/4 of an acre. We really like our home. I am an avid reader and book trader on Frugalreader.
My likes are pretty simple. I love butterflies and dragonflies. Anything to do with faries, and flowers. I also love puppies and dogs. My favorite colors are pink and green together. Green by itself. As far as dislikes anything to do with the occult, new age and the like. Other than that I am pretty easy to please. I will add that I am allergic to cigarette smoke so please don't send me anything that has been in a smokey environment.
The music I listen to is mainly from the 70's and the 80's. However, I am a huge Bon Jovi fan. When we lived in Poway, CA. and my Dad was stationed in San Diego. Bon Jovi came to my high school. He was a no body then. He sang in our gym, this was 1981-82. The song I remember him singing was Livin' On a Prayer, and he pulled different girls out of the audience, and handed them a white rose. I was one of the girls. We moved the summer of 82' to Orlando, Florida and in our new house, we got this new thing installed called CABLE, along with it came a new channel MTV. I remember sometime in August or September turning on the t.v. and flipping through the channels. Cuz, yep . . remote control. . .LOL, and there on MTV was the same guy that was at my high school. I picked up the phone and called my girlfriends back in Cali and said " YOu'll never believe who's on t.v. right NOW!!! That guy that was at our school!!!" After that moment I have been an offical die hard BON JOVI FAN!
