UPDATE: Due to some changes in our schedule, I won't have any free time throughout the month of March. I've caught up on my ratings but I still don't know the result of swaps I've sent out. If you didn't receive something I sent, please email me at the gmail address as I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to swapbot. I hope to return by April! I can truly say that I have few favorite things.

I don't mean to make it hard on swappers, it's just not that hard to make me smile.

I don't have a lot of free time. I'm doing some swaps to try and force myself into a hobby.

It's not hard to please me. I will be appreciative of whatever you choose to send.

I enjoy paper crafting and journaling. I do some machine embroidery and vinyl cutting as well. I enjoy cooking and gifting baked goods. I like to try all sorts of new crafts. I want to get into engraving/etching.

I am originally from Appalachia so I have a rich family history in creating things with bare hands. I'm part of the first generation to not hand stitch a quilt and I'd like to make that a goal before I leave this life.

I do work full-time and I have returned to graduate school for another degree. I stay pretty busy. I work in the healthcare field so anything related to that is appreciated!

I've been asked to be more specific about my likes/dislikes... So, here's an attempt...

Likes - pastel things - stickers - washi - pens - postcards for unique locations - post-it notes

Dislikes - none really for items, I'm fairly open to new things

IMPORTANT

I do suffer with allergies/asthma and a stressed immune system from a prolonged illness. I don't want to sound picky or judgmental but I have ended up with a sore throat/asthma attack from opening packages sent from smoking homes.

Please note if you are a smoking home on the envelope and I'll have a roommate open it for me in an open air area. Thank you for being considerate of this for me.

Some others also suggested I write about my expectations for the swap.

In my work, documentation is huge. I carry that over to my personal life.

With the exception of my first swap, I photograph every swap I send out before packaging and with postage.

I do this mainly to remind myself that I sent it and what I sent but it could help if anything gets lost in the mail too.

I personally take most things to my home mailbox for the carrier to pick up on his next visit. I print most of my postage at home or the office or use first class stamps.

If you haven't received something or receive something not quite to your satisfaction, please let me know and I'll resend or try to make it right.

I have no intentions of flaking. I had that happen to me on a few Reddit swaps and it was so disappointing.

I do live in a major metropolitan area and, in the past, I have seen mail sit at our area hub for 3-4 days (incoming/outgoing). Sometimes it is super fast (across country to East Coast in 3 days) and sometimes, it takes more than a week to travel a short distance.
