I'm a theatre artist (director, puppeteer) and booklover. Not a day goes by when I don't a) read a bunch and b) cook something delicious and completely made-up. I'm vegan and very interested in food and its history.

I'm a beginning knitter and have some basic sewing experience, both of which I'm working hard to improve on. This year I'm learning to quilt! I love beautiful dresses and have collected quite a few, and now as I become a better seamstress I hope to make all my own.

I have a huge soft spot for young adult fantasy fiction, which I read a lot of when younger (and still do).

I like old screwball comedies a lot, and all manner of movie musical. My favorite movies are probably Some Like it Hot, the Philadelphia Story, The Lion King, White Christmas, and Lars and the Real Girl.

The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, Downton Abbey, Freaks and Geeks, Sports Night, Firefly, Friday Night Lights.

I also love PBS and BBC documentaries.
