I am a 46 year old married mom of one! I recently got back into pen pals. I had one years ago and now that I'm not currently working I'm getting back into it again.

I like to write long chatty letters. I have a woman I write to every week about six pages (front only) but hey it keeps me busy. At this point I have been told I won't go back to work until March when we begin our "busy season" again. I was laid off from a local museum where I live.

I also have lots of postcards on hand! I get them from the state park close to me and where I worked as a docent! The cards are mostly lake scenes with eagles, pelicans or just the lake! The work ones are of a cool museum I love! Also if I see a cool one at the gas station I will pick those up as well. I love postcards as well! Handmade, from your hometown, from somewhere you traveled to. It doesn't matter. I try and pick up post cards anytime I am out and about and see one that looks cool or pretty!

I have a cat named Meta (black and white cat that looks like he has a mustache) and a part lab part who knows what dog named Bud. They were both rescues. I love all animals great and small.

I feed the wild birds in front of the house bird seed and sit on the porch most days and watch them. Course with the bird seed you get squirrels and a chipmunk and I have four raccoons (at least). There was a momma raccoon with two babies last night that I saw July 1, 2020. So I'm sure they will be back!

My favorite color is purple. I like the really deep purple but all purple is a good purple. If you get me ANYTHING purple I'm gonna be happy! write in purple. I don't care. I LOVE purple.

I also love birds, small, large it doesn't matter. I have worked with bald eagles, owls and red tailed hawks at the state park I live close to. I always like bald eagles. I thought they were gorgeous and then I started volunteering at the state park and fell in love with a great horned owl! He was my buddy. When I showed up to work he would call to me and fly to the front of the cage to me. Course I know he just thought of me as the food bringer but that was ok. The eagles still call to me when I get close to the cage. They are still gorgeous!

I love taking pictures with my DSLR. I haven't had it long but I'm still learning and try and take at least one picture every day!

80s is probably my favorite but I listen to just about anything. I go by my mood honestly. I listen to anything but yodeling and opera. If it's got a good beat I love it. Course there are those ones no matter how many times you hear them they make you cry ... I like those too. Almost every song you hear it gives you a memory. I like that about music.

Anything funny really. I love Janet Evanovich! But also like John Grisham as well. If it doesn't catch my attention in the first chapter I'll probably never read more. I have been known to open a book and read the middle to see if it's interesting. If it's really interesting in the middle I might try and keep reading past the first chapter.

I loved the Hunger Games, the Matched trilogy by Ally Condie! So many others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Anything with Tommy Lee Jones in it! Coal Miner's Daughter is my all time favorite but one I can watch over and over again is Sweet Home Alabama.

I love true crime! So Live PD (which I think they just took it off the air). 48 hours. If it's true crime I will watch it. I also like Master Chef, Hell's Kitchen and Worst Cooks of America.

Law and Order: SVU and Family Feud. I like TV about like music. Depends on my mood.

I am getting into calligraphy. Love fountain pens and markers and all of that. I'm not very good at calligraphy yet but hey practice helps. I'll get there. I'll be honest I'm not the best with crafting but hey I'm willing to learn. I love paper of any kind especially something that is fountain pen friendly.

I love postcards! It really doesn't matter where from! I collect them to keep and collect them to send. I almost always have 10-20 on hand. Every time I send a couple and see another I'm like oh have to have that one!

I have just joined the site and really have no clue what I'm doing! I'm just hoping I'm reading the directions right. If you have info that might help me! Please let me know!

I live an hour and a half away from anything like a Michaels or a stationery store of any kind so I'm kind of stuck with what I can find at Walmart at the moment but I'm planning on going to Michaels soon and seeing what I can find. I am in between Paducah, KY and Jackson, TN almost equal both ways close to Union City, TN so maybe there is a card store or stationery store I just don't know about!

I'm trying to get into card making ... picked me up some card stock and some stamps but I don't have an acrylic block yet. Michaels didn't have any when I went and since I got there at like three pm ... they were on mandatory mask wearing at four and I didn't have one with me. Soo I got out of the store before I had a lot of time to look!

But I want to try making some if someone wants to see how bad I do lol
