I'm a stay at home mom who recently moved to Northern Virgina. I was born in Niaragra Falls, NY and grew up there and in Buffalo, NY. I'm happily married to my husband of 12 years-we have one daughter, 2 dogs and a ton of books and knic knacks.

MUSIC:
I listen to a bit of everything tho I prefer pop and rock, especially from the 80's. I seem to own a lot of movie soundtracks. I also listen to Celtic, Folk, Medieval and some Country music.

BOOKS:
I love, love, love to read! Mysteries are my favs, followed by biographies. I"m curious--or maybe just nosey--by nature. Everyday people kind of stories are good too--Maeve Binchey is a good example. I also like, Jeffery Deaver, Sharon McCrumb, Charlaine Harris and Debbie Macomber.

MOVIES:
I grew up watching old movies with my grandpa and am enchanted by "old Hollywood". Hepburn, Tracey, Bogart and Stewart--so great! I have too many favs to name--just a few are: It's a Wonderful Life, A Lion In Winter, Arsenic and Old Lace, Fiddler On A Roof. Braveheart, Second Hand Lions, Sweet Home Alabama, Dirty Dancing, Boondock Saints...the list could go on forever.

TV:
ER, Law & Order, SVU, The Closer, Lie to Me, The Mentalist, Extreme Makeover-Home Edition. Bones, Oprah, Monk. I like HGTV, The Biography Channel and BBC America.

CRAFTS:
I'm not very crafty. I do age appropriate stuff with my little girl. I can cross stitch and just took up spool knitting. I want to start doing decopage.

MISC. STUFF:
I love books and reading. My favorite color is purple, followed by blue and green. I'm a crazy cat lady at heart--married to a man who is allergic to cats. I love old stuff--anitques, victorian, art deco etc. I'm into Medieval stuff and Celtic stuff. I love tea. I do jigsaw puzzles and word searches.

I'm not too fond of oranges and reds--tho they have their place in sunsets and valentines.

COLLECTIONS:
Things with: cats ladybugs, pansies, heartsease (jonny-jump-ups), birds-especially bluebirds and bluejays. I also collect vintage photographs, music boxes,keychains and willow tree angels.

MY DAUGHTER: I have a nine year old who is an avid reader. She loves Pokemon, Zelda animals, nature and videogames. Her fav color is pink and she loves sparkly things. She's a girly tomboy--likely to be found hunting bugs or climbing trees while wearing a pink feather boa and "pearls". She is NOT into the usual tween stufff like Hanna Montana, Jonas Brothers, Bratz etc. She does like I, Carly and Wizards of Wavely Place.

DISLIKES: I don't drink any kind of coffee or eat coffee flavored things. I don't like raisens and think they definately ruin a good piece of chocolate. I hate snakes.
