My goodness, my life has changed a lot since I first started doing this. I work full-time now & my child is nearly an adult. I lived in Germany for 2 years then came back home to USA right before the pandemic set in. Life is good.

Now that I have become one of the older members of my family, the cards are few and far between. I miss them almost as much as I miss the people behind them. Exchanging cards is so uplifting and cheerful.

I only give top ratings because I am grateful for the effort and experience. I enjoy hearing from so many wonderful people.

I am not going to use this profile like a blog. It seems there is some expectation for my profile to be longer. That's not safe. Every little tidbit you give can be aggregated by bots into a database where a profile is created about you. Be careful what you share. I realize it's a contradiction when we are mailing each other cards but no need to make it easy for bad actors.

Cards and letters are a welcome gift, especially in the age of the internet. It's a delight to receive a card after someone has taken the time to send one.

Letter writing is a great learning activity for children. It is rewarding to have them write letters and then receive a written response. I like this forum for these reasons and hope we can safely and respectfully exchange hand written cards and letters.
