I'm an Aussie girl, who likes to be creative and make stuff. I like to write, and draw, and paint, and make cards and take photos, and sometimes knit. I'm not so good at the knitting though. I took some lessons to learn how to use a sewing machine- I'm not very good at it yet!

My favourite colour is red, but I'm also partial to blues and purples. As a kid, I was aware that the shortest pencil in the pot, tin, or pencil case, was always the red one. Why is that?

I like penguins, turtles, elephants, zebras, ducks, owls, sheep and monkeys. But penguins are my absolute favourite!

I have a passport, but I've never been lucky enough to travel using it. Australia is a beautiful place, but someday I would like to see more of the world! I collect postcards though, so whenever my friends or family go overseas, I ask them to bring at least one back.

In Sept/Oct of 2009, I found out I was pregnant, and got very sick. I got overwhelmed with life, and flaked on a few swaps. If you're one of those people, please contact me, I'd like to make it up to you! (Oh, in case you're wondering- the baby made an appearance in April 2010, he's happy and healthy, and my husband and I are thrilled to have him!).

At the moment, my favorite books are probably Jodi Piccoult's novels (with the exception of "Change of Heart"- I really didn't get into that one!)

I really enjoy Children's books! I like Charlie & Lola, Ian Falconer's "Olivia", The Very Hungry Caterpillar (and other Eric Carle books), and Dear Zoo.

I like lots of different music. At the moment, I'm enjoying Brooke Fraser, Birds of Tokyo, Coldplay, and

I like Grey's Anatomy, and Packed to the Rafters (an Aussie drama). Apart from that, I don't watch a lot of TV. I do sometimes watch shows like CSI, Without a Trace and House. And I occasionally enjoy repeats of Friends.

I'm a Christian. I like to play board games.

I spend way too much time online! I like facebook, etsy, 43things and swap-bot. I also follow lots of blogs. I used to write a blog, but I don't anymore.

I'm allergic to chocolate. I only drink decaf coffee. I miss Starbucks- all of the ones near me have closed, so I only get Starbucks now if I go into the city. I do drink tea, just not very often!

I collect Mr Potato Head, and buttons, and postcards. I like Matryoshka (Babushka) Dolls.

I love magazines from countries other than Australia. I also love children's picture books. One day I'd like to write and illustrate one of my own!

My feet are size 8-9 (Australian). 9 US / 7 1/2 UK. Hope that's helpful to my partner for the sock swap! :)
