I am a crafty person who has recently discovered Junk Journaling! Very versatile craft that allows my ADD tendencies to flit about to another “form” tha can still be used in the journal! One day I may be working in digitals and printing things to fussy cut, another day I’m assembling pieces of recycled boxes and packing paper to be tags, cards or a journal cover. Then there’s the deciding on what types of papers I want in my signatures, or how to add fabric in a different way to my cover. My favorite is the JEWELRY for the journal and pages!! Love, love, love playing with creating dangles and adding beads to my bindings and pockets.
I do watercolor painting, knitting and crocheting, as well as some sewing and quilting. And right now I’m focused on dig training with our 7 mos. old Australian Shepherd (we had breeder leave her natural tail intact), Miss Georgia. She’s an AWESOME Aussie and while having a puppy at our ages (ready to retire!) has been a challenge, it’s been extremely heartwarming. LOVE HUGGABLE FUR-and can’t wait to add to our family once we retire (SOON!).
I love color. So I guess my style is more Boho and Shabby Chic? Purple is my favorite, but I can enjoy any color. Since I’m relatively new to this craft, supplies are limited and any de-stashing Happy Mail is appreciate! (One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, right?) Also because I have been traveling with hubby, to each of his job sites for the past almost 8 years now, space is a factor. Someone did graciously gift me a Vagabond II with some dues and embossing folders, so I love creating with those, too.
I am conscientious about my commitment to swaps and don’t over commit BECAUSE I don’t have a huge “stash”—so everything gets made from the ground up, every time. I love learning new things and swaps are a great way to get exposure to how other folks interpret creating a particular item or their take on a theme. I look forward to participating here and meeting folks from all over the world! Who knew gluing pieces of paper & fabric could be a way to make FRIENDS??!!
