Indie music rocks my socks. Books, poetry, and lit make me really happy. I am a haiku master! Jog everyday. A friend to all and a lover of life. Have a weakness for old vintage things. The colors pink and lilac make me really happy! I believe in unicorns and fairies. Frequent reader of philosophy, psychology and sociology...considering I claim to be a hippie, this is a contradiction in and of itself! Love dollhouses and miniatures, paper dolls, art cards. My best inanimate friends are stuffed animals and Paintship Pro x4. People tell me I live in the clouds, but I'm pretty happy here and don't plan on coming down anytime soon! Am a total, utter mess with a cluttered room, too many shoes,a mountain of art supplies, over-flowing bookshelves, messy hair and slowly-decreasing checking account...but all-in-all I'm pretty happy!

You can usually find me cuddled up on the couch with my kitty cat, Milo, and a good book, some kinda coffee drink, and junk food is optional.

I love costume jewelry. Headbands, bright colors, vintage clothing, colorful hair extensions, flowers for my hair. Sleeping late on weekends, laying in bed reading. Late nights with PSP x4 or Photoshop.

I am single and live alone, so Netflix keeps me company on rainy days and dark nights. Crafting and creating is a hobby, an outlet, and an inspiration.

I love intellectual quotes. I'm a total chic geek...fashionable but somewhere in the clouds. I believe in all kinds of crazy and non-conventional things like palm reading, astrology, numerology, psychics and so on. I do read fortunes and I do have a crystal ball! I'm a daydreamer...what do you expect?

Rock, Folk, Indie....none of the above being mainstream, thank you very much!

Not much into the top 40 music scene. I like underground bands, bands that can rock my socks but haven't yet made it big...that kinda music that hasn't yet been defaced by contemporary trends.

I love: Frou Frou, The Pixies, Tegan and Sara, MGMT, Regina Spektor, Sia, The Shins, Death Cab for a Cutie, Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Mumford and Sons, Iron and Wine, Moldy Peaches, The Kooks, The Ting Tings, Cold War Kids, The Weepies, The Postal Service, Shiny Toy Guns and TONS more I can't think of right now!

Books are a HUGE part of my life!

Here are the genres I read: chick lit, literary, poetry, short story collections, arts and crafts, graphic novels, mystery and romance. Also like true crime books.

I don't like detective novels or trashy romance. If it's romance I like to have a story behind it. Am totally anti-harlequin romance novel...sorry!

Horror, mystery, thriller, movie-to-book, claymation, drama and romance. Some comedy. Not into action flicks.

Some favorites: Humble Pie, Paper Hearts, The Lorax, Coraline. Tons more I can't think of at the moment!

I began to dabble in the arts back in undergrad. I had always admired artists from afar but didn't think I could ever make my own art, but a wonderful professor encouraged me to begin making collage art and keeping a sketch book. I found ATC's and art cards via youtube while looking for altered art tutorials. It has given me a healthy means of expression as well as a hobby for which I derive much pleasure. I love a variety of themes and objects for my work. I also do digital work as well.

So far I can make the following: digital art with PSP x4 and Photoshop. Ironically, I'd prefer to work with PSP rather than Photoshop...I don't know why but it's easier for me!

I do all kinds of collage art on cards and in a sketch book.

Pretty good at scrapbooking.

I can draw but am no pro...

I cannot paint but learning is definitely on my future to-do list!

Beyond collage I've never dabbled in mixed media but would also like to learn some techniques for this later on so if you know any great books on this topic, please do let me know!

Themes: horror and dark, steampunk, retro, vintage, valentines day, halloween, carnival, beach, fairies, primitive folk.

Colors: white, lilac, pink, baby blue.

Materials: anything you can make collage and art cards with! Also enjoy water color and color pencils for drawing. Empty notebooks for writing and journaling. Ink pens, gel pens. Embellishments. Scrapbooking paper. Collage sheets or images. Gems, brads, stickers. I totally am not picky when it comes to this!
