I was so surprised to read your profile and see Paddington at the top of it. I am glad you joined the July WTA for the She-Bear and hope you have fun doing a little research. I have started on my project and have been surprising myself with it. I did research the bear in Cali because it is on the state flag and seal as a way to honor the last of the Grizzlies that were exterminated here after gold was discovered. Evidently the bear refused to give up its territory. So of course, the humans resorted to killing them off. What is so touching is that after the fact, they realized just how powerful a creature she is and at least are honoring her. I hope you share what legends you find.
