One word: eclectic

I am an artist living in the stark, but rustically beautiful state of New Mexico. The desert is a wonderful place to find hidden wonder.

I work for a local jeweler but really only there just to make money for my true addiction: ART Left Brain (my husband) just sighs and shakes his head at me most of the time. And what can say, hes right, but I enjoy all aspects of art.

In my own artwork I use seed beads to create tapestries. I love the fact that the work will last forever as long as the warp isn't cut, and the colors are just so brilliant they cant be passed by. I think in my past life I was a magpie...

I'm a dog lover, I'm severely allergic to cats.

I love the idea and mythology of the phoenix (the mythical bird, not the city); and I'm a big fan of birds of prey. I'm also a fan of my very vain African Grey parrot, Ansel.

I like classical art, as well as modern art -to an extent. I don't particularly care for most installation art, but I love graffiti. I have been been attracted lately to the whole art deco movement, especially Frank LLoyd Wright.

I'm a big ancient Egyptian history buff. I have a tattoo of nine of the major gods wrapped around my lower leg.

I do mountain bike on occasion, though I really suck at it.

I collect anything to do with Doctor Who and Sherlock (BBC).

Almost anything with a catchy beat EXCEPT: polka. sorry polka fans, I just cant get into that groove. Recent acquisitions include Kerli,Glitch Mob, Imagine Dragons, Muse, Lindsey Stirling, and Pentatonix I also love older stuff like the Beatles and The Who.

MMMMMmmmmm.... booooooks. My other addiction. I love em all! I'm mostly a science fiction/ fantasy type of person (Isaac Asimov, Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind) but i also like the classics. I also appreciate a good history (art history, and history of America on top of my list) now and then. I love thrillers, and action, but appreciate a good love story too (ie The Time Travelers Wife).

Dr. Who! & Sherlock! I have a whole bunch of series permanent queue on Netflix, mostly BBC shows. including a favorite Top Gear, and The IT Crowd.

I cant help but sneak peeks from behind my book when Left Brain watches Deadliest Catch, and maybe even a bit of UFC. Oh and I LOVE Project Runway. I guess my guilty pleasure show would be Duck Dynasty.

Pink. I'm not a girly girl. I don't like pink, or dolls.

I don't care for anything that is overly hippie; such as "save the endangered one eyed purple people eater." I'm not an environmentalist, per se, so please nothing "green."
