My name is Lesley and I just joined (June 22nd). I currently live in the United States but am originally from the caribbean.

I can usually be found writing letters to penpals or reading a book with a cup of tea within reach. If you were to look around me, I seem to be a collector of things, fountain pens, books, bank notes, bookmarks, tea tins to name a few. Up until several years ago I had a substantial postcard and stamp collection but one particular hurricane decided it wanted them more.

Love to cook and bake and always enjoy trying new recipes, especially vegetarian ones. I have a huge interest in genealogy and learning why people migrate as they do. Whenever I have the money and time, I enjoy traveling and sightseeing.

I love to make stuff, whether with paper, or fabric. Right now all of my paper crafting supplies are packed away as I have not unpacked after my recent move. Some things are accessible but not enough to do more than to stamp an odd sentiment here or there. Most of what I have made have been cards but at some point in time I'd love to try ATC. I am a huge sucker for DIY stuff. I have also been known to knit baby blankets and yoga socks, my tension seems to be a bit iffy so I tend to stay away from anything fitted.

As my favourite past time is reading my list of books are varied. I prefer reading Crime Fiction, Dystopian, Epic Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Legal Thrillers, Medical Thrillers, Memoirs, Paranormal Fantasy, Romance, Steampunk, Urban Fantasy, Young Adult. Feel free to share a good book, always on the look out for more even though my GR to-read list tops 1300.

Anything hand made, anything blue, tea (black, green and herbal. On the search for a great Chai and little experience with rooibos), anything colourful and decorative. Wood or Cling mount rubber stamps, anything Asian, Celtic, with cats, or just weird. Incense, candles, rings. Football (not American Football), Calligraphy, fairies, organizing things. Steampunk anything cutesy having to do with skulls, card and board games. Love antique furniture and old things like letter openers and goblets. Love pointy things like throwing stars and daggers.
