I'm a writer and a homeschooling mom of two. My Christian faith gives me strength and my ever changing, always trying something new..."oooh that's sounds neat, how do I do that?" creativity keeps me sane.
I love poetry, dance and theatre. I wish I had the time (and a babysitter) to go out and get back into performing arts, but for now I'm sticking to my writing and art. I love romantic, Victorian style and also funky, rock and roll. I know, what a combo right? Picture a woman dressed in jeans, black shirt, black blazer, black boots, big earrings, funky jewelry and a pink purse...that's me.
I love, love, love jewelry and purses. What can I say accessories make me happy.
I think our world needs more hope, more beauty and more people who are willing to reach out a hand to help someone else.
I love to try new crafts, even if they don't always end up looking like the picture. I especially enjoy paper crafts like ATC's and card making and mixed media art. I have great intentions to keep up with my scrapbooks for the family, but I'd rather spend my craft time making cards or ATCs.
I have grand dreams of making beautiful mixed media and collage art pieces so I love ephemera of all types.
I also crochet and I really want to learn to quilt. Oh, and I make chocolates and decorate cakes. Yum!
My favorite styles of music are Christian rock and classical. I love Third Day and Mercy Me. My husband rocks as the lead guitarist for a rock band in our church and I sing in the worship team. I'm working up my courage to sing solo, but I'm not there yet. :)
I am a huge reader. Seriously, movers see my house and cringe when they get to the bookcases. My favorite books are Christian (hey, notice a theme yet?) fiction and fantasy. If you can combine Christ, dragons and epic battles I'm there. I also like Christian romances, but not the cheesy ones. I also read thrillers and suspense.
I am passionate about social justice issues, especially human trafficking and prostitution so I read non-fiction books on those topics as well.
I stay way, way, far away from vampires, Harry Potter and things like that.

I've been away from Swap-Bot for a while...my husband was deployed to a combat zone and I barely had time to sleep much less focus on art. But he's home now and part of my 2013 goals are to get crafty and creative again.
I keep my word and I promise to always send out my swaps out on time. If something goes wrong or if I don't do something right, please contact me and give me a chance to make it right before you rate me poorly. I'll do the same for you. Thank you!

Hi! I was writing down your address for the Newbie Niceties swap and I used to live in Fredericksburg too! I was pretty young, but I loved it there. Small world, huh?
Great profile! Welcome to swap-bot. I look forward to getting to know you. I hope you love it here!
